what do you do when you’re “off”
Someone recently told me that dopamine breaks down to noradrenaline and then to
adrenaline
, which can feel anxiety especially when movement is difficult. My tendency is to want to sit still until this passes, which can take what feels like forever. what do you do?

T3 update for @relentless
I’ve noticed the Dr Bavind Williams observation that if I eat sugars, I get an
adrenaline
rush with the insulin and am left exhausted. No sugar, no rush, steady energy. So I think from this I’ve dodged the adrenals bullet, seems my issues were just thyroid.

l have recently increased sertraline 25mg to 50mg x waking up in sheer panic with
adrenaline
rushes. Is this to be expected and how long will these last? X

Jaw pain could this be GCA
I was unable to stop steroids completely due to having acquired
adrenaline
sufficiency. So I'm now taking a very low dose of hydrocortisone three times a day. But I've been experiencing a great deal of jaw pain and for quite a while.

Advice after going on a “ trip”
My concern has been the level that I’m on or heading for and the lack of
adrenaline
function. I think I have now got over the shock and am starting to heal and can walk , albeit a bit wobbly. When do you think I should resume my taper? Thanks for reading.

Update #5: Back to front
If I am off about any of this please do feel free to correct or challenge 🙂 The adrenals are split into 2 major chunks; the medulla which secretes
adrenaline
and the cortex.

Really Rough Mornings
Hi! I'm new here and just learning the ropes. I have GAD which is pretty well controlled most of the time but I've been sick with some bowel obstruction and a stubborn kidney stone over the past several weeks and my anxiety is bad. The minute I wake up my system floods with adrenalin and I feel like

Fearless
For many years I was labeled an
Adrenaline
Junkie. Deservedly so. For the first time in my life there is an obstacle in front of me that I am unable to get past. I cannot see a way around or through it. I am paralyzed with fear.

regarding the dentist
I had a local anaesthetic without
adrenaline
but he did a different filling as the one he needed to refill he is worried that he may not be able too save it and I would need a root canal. He saw how anxious I was as I was crying and tense so he didn’t want to do a bigger job .

Valerian can help relax muscles without turning you into a zombie
Called a paradoxical reaction, this may not be the herb for you if you are already an
adrenaline
junkie with an active constitution. It’s kind of like people who can drink a cup of coffee after supper and still go to sleep afterward, except the opposite.

⁸Short term memory loss
Wednesday I found my partner not breathing and no pulse, I am not proud to say I panicked my neighbours came in to give him CPR until the paramedics arrived to continue CPR, they had to shock him 4 times and give
adrenaline
to get his heart beating again.

Prednisolone reduction and Anxiety
I have been taking prednisone for 9 months now for GCA I began with 60 my per day and have reduced to 8mg per day. My consultant increased my dose to 10mg a day because of lack of adrenalin, but I am still struggling with nerves and anxiety, I’m wondering if there is a medication that can be prescribed

I've been experiencing symptoms in what I feel are very distinct phases - August to October I was highly anxious and like I was pumped on
adrenaline
, insomnia, heart rhythm disturbances, muscle twitches and a slight tremor, full of nervous energy but feeling weak, tingling extremities and head.

Back on the Billy Trail
So if is there anyone out there who normally wears Brooks
Adrenaline
GTS road shoes that has successfully bought trail shoes, do let me know what they are. The picture is the view of Portsmouth from the trail (you’ll need to zoom in). The tide is out.

Severe anxiety resulting in muscle weakness and feeling heavy
I think its like a wave of some hormone kicking in and I assume that with me taking the pred I can`t deal with cortisol and
adrenaline
. Im trying to practise mindfulness and breathing , is there any meds or supplements I should be asking my doctor for , to stop this dreadful anxiety ?

Overmedication Symptoms Adrenalin rushes at night
hello, does anyone else suffer with this? I get horrible adrenalin rushes repeatedly as I fall asleep/during sleep when my thyroid meds get past a certain level (happens with all variations of med types). It often accompanies other hyper symptoms too. I have hashimotos.

Trying to enjoying the Christmas holidays but ignoring the thumping!
I have always felt it never really works and especially if you have
adrenaline
and are enjoying yourself and laughing with friends it's worse! I am tired of having to keep lying down on the sofa for an hour three times a day to get my heart rate back to normal when I take my doses.
