Slow Droo

After being on 2mg pred for 14 months I'm now trying to drop Dead Slow to 1.5mg. (unsuccessful 8 months ago as pmr pain came back in wrists so scooted back to 2mg). To my amazement I'm at 4 days new dose and ok atm. If I make it, how many months should I stay on 1.5mg?I've always had to sleep for 1 hour pm since starting pred 8 years ago and I'm very sensitive to change. No other meds, just AdCal D3. Don't want to mess things up towards the finish line. Busy active person. Asked my large surgery for a Cortisol test. Never heard of it. They've contacted Addenbrookes for advice!

When you feel ready - no rush at such low levels… no comment on surgery and not knowing about cortisol test!

Can't they use google to find the papers about it????

I would take it very slowly since you seem to be doing OK at present. I would stay at each new dose when you get to it for at least a month - no hurry!

How do you feel in yourself?

I'm actually feeling ok and surprising myself. Carrying on as usual with a rest around 4pm. No twinges so far🤞. Going to see if I can manage 5 days in a row from today. I'm so nervous I'll probably sit on 1.5mg till after Christmas!! That's if I make it.
