Hi all, I had a heart attack in 2020, given balloon angioplasty and a stent, since then been on a morning dose of bisoprolol 1.25mg. I suffer very bad sleep patterns and fatigue, I read here some take it at different times yet my prescription just says "daily". Is it safe to try an evening slot? My other

Efficacy of methadone for refractory RLS
Fellow RLS sufferers, For a short bio, if you don't mind, you can skip to the second paragraph: I'm in my early 30s. Suffered mild RLS as long as I can remember I (didn't know it was RLS at the time). RLS increased in intensity and frequency during my 20s. It became a nightly thing around the time I

Problems with oesophagus closing at join
Is there anyone can help with the following. My wife and I have both had oesophageal cancer, we have both had IV ops. For myself I am 6 years down the line and apart from the usual “new norm” I have been lucky. My wife on the other hand has suffered continually with the closing up of the oesophagus and

Pain under ribs and in abdomen after standing
Hi, I had a stent fitted at the beginning of December. I am still feeling an occasional tugging sensation in my chest that seems to get worse if I stand up for too long, this seems morel likely to happen at the end of the day. I also have found when preparing dinner that if I stand up for more than

Balloon but no stent
So a question: A friend has just had an HA with primary PCI (so suffered a STEMI i guess) but has just had balloon angioplasty without a stent for treatment. Reading up this seems uncommon with 80% of cardiac angioplasty procedures appatently resulting in a stent emplacement. I ended up with 6 stents

Post stent feelings
Hi all, first post, and not sure if many will see it, or reply. Anyway, around a month ago after suffering chest pains when exercising, I was told I had exertional angina, was given the wee spray, which helped However, a few weeks later, I was starting to have chest pains when doing nothing strenuous

Ramipril titration.
Hi been on Ramipril 5mg for 8 years or so and six months ago noticed blood pressure was in the 150/70ish mark. Contacted cardiologist for advice and he just said up your dose to 10mg once daily. Blood pressure in the morning first thing is still around 140/70ish but drops during the day to 112-120 ish

How long for stents to settle?
Hi, Firstly, sorry for the long post! I am 49 and earlier this year I was suffering with bad heart burn (have a history of gastric issues), which the GPs tried treating with various prazoles ending up with me on Pantoprazole. After talking to one of the GPs (never got to speak to the same one twice!

Devastating end to my pregnancy
I am heartbroken This last 3 weeks have been awful. We discovered at our 12 week scan that our baby had a large amount of fluid on the back of the neck, a clear indicator of a problem. We were supposed to have the CVS test to confirm what the issue with but that was not able to go ahead due to difficulties

Opinions on Hemp creams.
Hello everyone, I've recently decided to purchase some compression gloves for my hands and this cream called Hemp Active cream by 5kind popped up on my screen. It has a lot of good reviews but they also have a stronger version. I'm posting this because I've used Voltarol in the past and it doesn't really

Ladies problems (comes with a warning of fairly graphic detail lol)
Hi all, Had my angiogram and stent fitted in my LAD (was 90% blocked) and started on daily aspirin, statin as well as an anti-platelet drug for twelve months. Since, when I’m having a period, I’m losing so much, the blood loss is constantly flooding my sanitary products, my underwear, through my clothing

Gabapentin and Ropinirole please .....
1. I came across an old post on here with someone saying that if you take Gabapentin with Ropinirole, then the Ropinirole does not cause augmentation. Am guessing this is not true, but I thought I would put it out there to see if anyone has anyone definitive research on this. 2. Also read that it

Shortness of breath on Ramipril
Hi Has anyone suffered from shortness of breath from Ramipril? I have been taking them since my HA in Oct 2020 and stent fitting. However, I thought my shortness ofbreath was due to my heart failure, but I actually saw a cardiologist this week for a follow up who gave me eneplenone (sorry about the spelling

Raised Bilirubin level
Dear Hearties, I had a heart attack 3 years ago. I was fitted with a stent and I am taking a cocktail of medicines after that. They are Atrostatin 80mg, Losartan and Bisoprolol. I have been told by GP that my bilirubin is high. Is this could side effect of the above drugs? I also use Paracetamol 2 tablets
