Raised lump on CABG scar
I have a scar on my left forearm where the radial artery was harvested 17 months ago. Every now and then a “ sort of hive” appears in the exact same spot. It can be itchy but not sore in any way. It will go in a few hours. Has anyone else experienced this ?

Saw GP twice last year with chest pain and advised it was muscular or gastric then on 21/1/22 went to AE with chest pain and angio found LAD 90% blocked. Got 1x stent fitted and started on 5 different medications inc Bisoprolol 2.5mg. Eventually got nurse to check bloods today(should have been done after

Lung transplant second opinion update.
Saw the very nice team at the Royal Papworth following the Harefields decision to delist me. Where do i begin? First of all what a place, futuristic, buzzing with energy and you just knew you were in a different league. They haven’t said yes but more importantly not a no either. Bottom line is they

bad news
I had osteoarthritis of the right hip in 2014 and had a full hip replacement with great success. some time after that i began to get back and groin pain and was referred for an MRI. The result was herniated discs and sciatica. I have just recently had another MRI and the result is mild wear and tear,

Horizant not really useful
Day 12 of Horizant 600 mg. Taken at 5 pm with fatty meal. First 2 nights, I slept. Now I don't. And, like others, I seem to have insomnia from this drug. Awake all night. Also, on top of the Restless Leg, I have this itchy allergic feeling all over my body, not just my legs. The literature says it takes

Gums and bleeding
Hi. I had a heart attack 5 weeks ago. All fixed now, stent fitted and drugs given. However, my mouth suddenly fills with blood at least 4 times a day? My gums are as white as a sheet. Has anyone else had this experience or know why? I have a dental appointment in a few weeks so I'm hoping for some answers

Advice. Morphine sulphate (MST) 5mg prolonged release. Or stay on tramadol.
Hi all. Haven't posted for a while. I’ll update you on my RLS journey and ask for advice on the above. Last time I posted I was going through a rough patch with my long standing insomnia where getting 4-5 hours nightly for years was ok, then went to having 0-1 hours and maybe 6hours after being awake

100% blocked artery
Hi My husband had a heart attack 2 weeks ago and was unable to have a stent put in the artery that was blocked. He is having an MRI scan next week and the cardiologist will see him the week after. He mentioned, in a review letter, that they may perform a staged PCI but that this procedure would be of

Private or nhs
**sensitive post*** Some background I’m 39 with epilepsy. After 2 rounds of ivf we got a bfp and currently 10 weeks. Since we’ve told my in-laws they have gone on about private maternity care as my DH sisters both went private, over 16 years ago and it wasn’t as expensive then. I feel it would

Waiting Times
I have been told today that I need a stent fitted and I wondered usually how long it will be approx until it is done. My cardiology department are playing catch up at present so I suspect it could be a while!

poisoned by statins
I have now come to the conclusion that instead of getting the correct treatment for my heart problem I have been given a higher dosage of statins that is causing me more harm. I believe that my diagnosis should be treated with a stent or a bypass. I have three siblings , two have had heart attacks and

Stress Test/myocardial perfusion scan Results
Good afternoon, I had my tests carried out in Feb and despite being told I would receive the results in 2 weeks I have only just been sent them. The consultant has not written to me with his conclusions yet and I am not being seen until July. My GP is happy to have a look at it but my appointment is

Happy 1st birthday to my stent😊
This time last year i was not a well pup. Stemi in the lad and rushed to hospital with the lights flashing. Didnt know what was happening until they had inserted a stent and cleared the 100%blockage. Surgeon then says "you had a heart attack but we've inserted a stent and fixed the plumbing". At the
