Should I stop aspirin before non cardiac surgery.
I am a 62 year old male and suffered a heart attack in Feb 2020. I subsequently had one stent fitted. I have been on low dose aspirin and other meds since then. I have not needed any further treatment and was told by the cardiac doctor that he wouldn't need to see me for another 5 years. I am due to

Severe Proximal RCA Disease and Moderate LAD Disease - NO FURTHER ACTION!
Hi - I had a call from the cardiologist this afternoon, after a team consultation they have decided they will not be performing an angiogram and hence I will not be receiving any stents. They have said a stent would not decrease my chances of having a heart attack, and therefore it's not worth the risk

I had a HA and stent operation 3 weeks ago today and my bowel movements have yet to return to any sort of normality. Embarrassing to share, but I have loose stools that are not painful but nearly every morning after taking lansoprazole or say 20 mins after my breakfast. Anyone remember if this

Pain relief medication
Hi there, I had a stent fitted in LAD in 2021. Have a mild to moderate aortic leaky valve. I also have two slipped discs in lower back. For the most part, I have no pain or restricted movement. Every now and again, I’m in excruciating pain with my back for a few days, then all goes back to normal

Popliteal Artery Stenting - success or nightmare?
Hi, I have developed intermittent claudication in my right Popliteal Artery just behind my right knee - pretty much where the knee bends and can only walk short distances before pain kicks in. I am 68 years old, just retired and am an ex-mild smoker. Has anyone had a Stent placed in this particular

Fenofibrates
Someone asked if Dr. Jones' book mentioned the use of fenofibrates.... yes, it does in several places. This might be a good book to have if you are considering using them. He is the leading expert on PBC. Hope it helps... The subject is discussed in the chapter for 'Treatment of PBC'. Many have been

Gum Restore Plus
Since taking Suboxone I have been reading a lot of articles concerning the damaging effects on tooth and gum. To say the least, I am worried about the toothless future in my old age. Fortunately I stumbled upon a product, Gum Restore Plus by Tierra Essential, It seems to address the problems relating

Massage for Relaxation
Just wondering if others have been in my position. I had an NSTEMI in late December and had a stent fitted. Before then I would have a regular massage as a monthly treat.I asked the Cardiac Nurse today if I could start them up again and she said that the relaxation benefits probably outway any potential

Reliance on Codeine
Following CABG five weeks ago I still have a lot of pain in my left leg where the vein was removed. I manage this through 2 paracetamol 4 times a day and 1 codeine tablet twice a day, having just reduced from 2 codeine tablets twice a day. This keeps me just on top of the pain. I'm wondering how

Tired!
Hi everyone, I had an ST STEMI three and a half weeks ago. Stent fitted. I have the usual medication for an MI, however, I am so tired, all the time. Is this normal? Is it the medication do you think?

Severe Proximal RCA Disease and Moderate LAD Disease - Updated
Good morning, I had a follow-up appointment this morning with the cardiologist, I'll need to wait for the consultation letter for the details, this is what I know. I have coronary heart disease, and it's worse in my right than the left, apparently that's good. They don't know what to do with me as I
