Would like Opinions about Continuing on Pluvicto Trial
Had radiation for 2 months and was on
Abiraterone
for 2 years.
Abiraterone
stopped working. PSA started to rise to 9.3. I have been getting Cat Scans, PSMA and Bone scans. I enrolled in Pluvicto trial in September 22. I wasn’t selected for Pluvicto until the scans get worse.

Need meal ideas for low-dose abiraterone
My husband (dx Oct '22, PSA 270, advanced PCa with extensive bone mets), is about to start the low-dose
abiraterone
regimen (250mg with small low-fat meal - 300 calories, max 9g of fat) (this has been discussed with two oncologists, including one at Dana Farber, so please - respect our decision).

Update on my father. Triplet therapy?
I've been reading about the benefits of giving
Abiraterone
(Zytiga) early versus later as part of triplet therapy and also told his doctor about that but I am not sure what the future steps will be. What do you think - should we be more persistent about early

Diagnosed in August , started with bl orcheidectomy ADT ,
abiraterone
and docetaxel within 3weeks . Docetaxel chemo and all other simultaneous triplet is well tolerated , apart from fatigue grade 2 no other side effects.

UK and abiraterone availability
This may be old news but I just heard that Abi is finally off patent in the UK. This should mean that the NHS will now prescribe for HSPCa. (Currently restricted for this group unless you started it in Covid as alternative when chemo not possible). If it still can't be prescribed via NHS , it will now

Abiraterone
1000mg, Prednisone 10mg, Xgeva (28 day cycle), Nupogen ( 2 treatments last Thursday and Friday), and Docetaxel (1 of 6 treatments two weeks ago). Except for WBC and platelet counts dropping, everything has been well tolerated.

Retrospective study shows enzalutamide gives slightly longer survival than abiraterone for mCRCP
After propensity score matching by age and cardiac comorbidities, enzalutamide was significantly associated with a 10% decreased mortality risk compared with

Brittle Bones
I’ve been on the Lupron,
Abiraterone
, and Prednisone treatment for about 7 months. I just broke a rib leaning on a chair. Do these drugs cause your bones to become easier to break? Luckily I get an MRI and the PSMA PET Scan tomorrow. Should be interesting to see I hope. Thoughts? Thanks!

Vacation
Is this from Lupron &
Abiraterone
, or just one of them? He's been <0.04 for over a year and ultra sensitive shows <0.02. He's very hesitant to stop something that's working. A vacation would be nice, but I'm with him. We are going to make a list of questions.

low back problems
I've been on Eligard and
abiraterone
+prednisone for slightly more than a year, out of a planned 2 years. I had 44 sessions of proton beam therapy ending 4/7/23. My PSA has been undetectable since early in my ADT regimen, and remained so as recently as 2 weeks ago.

I think this question was asked an answered 4 years ago, but perhaps an update? Should I stop taking Abiraterone for no particular reason?
During my last MO visit, it was suggested that I could stop taking
Abiraterone
(now at 6 months) if the side effects were really bad.

Hello fellow warriors! My husband has been in Zytiga for 3 months now, was hoping PSA would drop, still at .4 Should we expect this or wait to see March’s number., .4 is his highest he’s ever had We are seeing a top rated RO here in AZ to get 2nd opinion on PSMA scan and he is CRPC. Dealing with prostate cancer.
I’m 77 years old…diagnosed in 2012…had prostatectomy and then lupron,
abiraterone
, docetaxel, cabazitaxel, etc etc. I have bone Mets…stable right now….PSA 12.5. Being told that I will probably start Pluvicto in a month or so.

When ADT fails, we continue it anyway... why not Zytiga?
Why wouldn't the same be true of
abiraterone
? Once abi "fails" in keeping PSA low and in preventing progression, does it not still "succeed" in its function, and still inhibit CYP17A1 and decrease the production of testosterone?

PSA rising on Triplet Therapy after <18m
He began triplet therapy (initially degarelix, then leuprolide +
abiraterone
and prednisone) soon after. By September it had fallen to under 0.1 and then under 0.05 by the summer of 2023. Subsequent PET scans showed some bone mets had shrunk, others were unchanged.
