E2 Patch
I've read studies of e2 being effective in restoring bone health, as well as maintaing "Castration Levels" of Testosterone, with fewer harmful side effects than
abiraterone
. My MO won't even discuss estradiol (e2 patch), as an option.

Stage 4: Stop treatment? There's a trial for that!(A-DREAM)
On June 3, 2022 I took my last
abiraterone
. Still testing <0.01. Feeling much better after 4+ years of treatment even though my T has only recovered to 50 so far. Scary? You bet. A lot of guys have taken "vacations" and reported here. So I'm checking in too.

So sad but my husband started
Abiraterone
in late December with a PSA of 937 and it was measured on Monday again. Result only just came in at 2764. Does not look like
Abiraterone
and zoladex combo had any effect on the PCa at all. Is there any harm in continuing with
Abiraterone
?

Resitance to Abiraterone - forever resistant?
Does once resistant to
Abiraterone
mean resistant forever, or can it work again for a while after a few months off? Any experiences?

Side effects
I do 5 mg of prednisone 1000 mg of
abiraterone
and Lupron every 4 months. Prednisone has been very tough on me, I've gained 29 pounds weight in two months, the muscle cramps and feet twitching are unbearable. My PSA has come down from 24 in January to 0.84 last Monday.

Newly diagnosed metastatic PC treatment options
I will start treatment next week with Eligard and
abiraterone
+prednisone. Should I also start chemotherapy with docetaxel? And/or should I also start RT for the prostate and the 4 spots in the bones? Would proton therapy be advisable? I will be very grateful for any input.

Question on CRPC
I have been on
Abiraterone
for over 4 years which controls my PSA to <0.05. Initially, I also had Lupron which took me to castrate level and it stayed that way even till now it is still at <20 ng/dl. PSA started rising and doubling in the last 4-5 quarters. Onc says I should take Lupron.

45 yr young. Next steps?
I’ve done my first monthly Degaralix injections, and about to start on
Abiraterone
and Presnidone. He also thought with my Gleason 9, Lu177 might not be as effective, suggested if it were him he would do chemo first.

PSA Climbing while on Zoladex and Abiraterone with Prednisone
I have an appointment with Oncologist today. Going to ask if i can switch the prednisone for dexamethasone. Not sure if they will approve it. I was scheduled to start Xgeva. As I have been diagnosed with osteoporosis due to having ADT since 2017. What other treatment should I look forward to having

Triplet Regimen vs Clinical Trial (Pluvicto)
I was given information on apalutamide, darolutamide, enzalutamide, and
abiraterone
acetate. I’m not sure if I will have a choice, but I’d love to know if anyone has experience or opinions, especially if your disease has manifested similarly to mine.

Xtandi after Zytiga
MO refusing to substitute dexa for prednisone with
Abiraterone
since it's not FDA approved. Convinced (?) him to wait 3 weeks (4/5) for blood test after radiation of only active met to check PSA which was 0.253 on 1/21 and 0.309 on 2/21. Hoping result lets me stay on Aba as long as possible.

Small molecule ACK1 inhibitor (R)-9b - third generation AR receptor - clinical trial I in 2023
We have identified (R)-9b as a `third generation' of AR-antagonist, which has ability to overcome Enzalutamide and
abiraterone
-resistant prostate cancer.

My battle with castration resistant metastatic prostate cancer that had spread to the bones since 2021
What do I need to do after biopsy, surgery, chemotherapy,
Abiraterone
treatment and ailment seems to progress as I am always in intense pain and sleepless nights? My PSA hovers above 100.

Abiraterone/enzalutamide+PARP inhibitor better than abiraterone/enzalutamide alone for mCRPC, even without BRCA+
By combining the PARP inhibitor (Lynparza (olaparib) or Talzenna (talazoparib)) with either
abiraterone
or enzalutamide, cancer progression was slowed, even in men who were BRCA-.

What next after Docetaxel...?
Several options to proceed, like Cabazitaxel and Xtandi , as in the past my failure was with
Abiraterone
(Zytiga). Xofigo was ruled out based on my previous experience with Lu 177 and actual weak lab data. I elected to take a chance with Xtandi, probable another short term failure.

Current ADT Recommendation
I have taken
abiraterone
for 6 months of 4/250 and my MO cut that back to 1/250 a day when I said that I wanted to consider stopping ADT. I did take a uPSA test in July and the treatment must be working as hoped as my PSA was < .006.

Alternative to Zytiga/Abiraterone?
He started Lupron in Nov/22,

Next treatment options available for advancing disease
The disease continues to advance while being treated with Zoladex and
abiraterone
. I have switched prednisone for dexamethasone and haven't had an updated blood test yet to see if has improved. Had consult with oncologist and urologist and I have 3 treatment option available. 1.
