High TPOab, High Ferritin and High Cortisol
Recent Results TSH: 4.99mlU/L ( 0.24 - 4.2) was 2.72 mlU/L in October 2020 ( I have been supplementing with Iodine for the last 12 weeks plus Zinc, Selenium, Vit E and NAC ) Have read to expect TSH to rise for a period of iodine supplementation, and then it will settle. A bit anxious about this. T4

Pfizer vaccine after Shinrix
Hello everyone. I am looking for a little advice. I had a Shinrix shot Feb 17 and have a Pfizer COVID shot booked for tomorrow. On the consent form, there is a box to check if you have had another vaccine in the past 14 days. It never occurred to me that this might be an issue. I booked the COVID shot

Neck rash - what's causing it? What can ease it?
Hello, writing on behalf of my wife. She has a persistent (2+ years) neck rash which 'flares-up' from time to time. It's 'itchy' and uncomfortable. We've been to the doctor several times about the rash. Doc says nothing to worry about, just apply 'Simple' moisturiser. Medical history: Female aged 35

Iodine raises TSH
https://www.medpagetoday.com/infectiousdisease/covid19/91049 This is an interesting story about a small French randomized trial looking at using iodine mouthwash as a COVID-19 prevention. What's interesting is that participants in the intervention group "experienced a jump in thyroid-stimulating hormone

Anyone know what blood test this will contain?
Recently my endo asked my gp to test my bloods for TSH, Ft3 and fT4 as well as coeliac and parietal antibodies. GP put this test through: (TF3) TFT3: Hyperthyroid on treatment/T3 I am not hyperthyroid on treatment. I am post RAI for graves hypothyroid. And I wasn’t sure whether this includes TSH

Thyroid support multis- opinion?
Virtually any brand of multi vits for Thyroid support has 200 mcg (round 100% NRV) iodine. Surely not advisable with Hashimotos/hypo? ( according to isabella wents for sure) Does anyone take Pure Encapsulations Thyroid support; Viridian Thyroid complex, Thorne Thyroid Cofactors? I'm on a normal AIP

Suppressed Thyroid ore unable Thyroid plus T3 problem
As this is my first post I will try and give short history as it is important. At the age of 17 (I am now 74) I was diagnosed with Hypoactive thyroid which strangely made me put on weight and also made one of eyes bulge. I was given iodine in tablet form and eventually things went back to normal .

Just started 100mg levothyroxine how long until symptoms improve?
I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease 4 years ago and had radioactive iodine treatment last October. Since then my bloods last week confirmed I’ve gone severely underactive which explains why I’ve felt so terrible recently. Really suffering with constipation, issues sleeping, anxiety, depression, muscle

Stopping thyroxine
Sorry can’t seem to reply to anyone. Yes it is a radioactive iodine scan to see what is going on. It is normal practice to stop meds for 4 weeks for best results

Hello all! I have been taking 1gr nature-thyroid for 15 days ( with beautiful increase of basal temperatures). And all of the sudden canker sores appeared on my gum. Followed by a swelling of my cheek. Related to parotid/ salivary glands being swollen. My naturopath says it’s a good thing. « This is
