Hello I was diagnosed November 2020 and am on alot of drugs
One is Itraconozole 4 capsules a day is anyone else on these and how many a day do you take,now waiting for scan on kidney as got pain all the time in one of them,plus next month I am having radio iodine for thyroid, so feeling very low and feel all I'm doing is taking loads of drugs,
HelloI was finally diagnosed with CPA three months ago. Started on Itraconazole 200mg once a day at my request,after six weeks started to show signs of heart failure,leg oedema,increased cough and shortness of breath; along with ecg and blood tests showing changes. Liver function tests also raised. GP stopped Itraconazole and started Furosemide 20mg. Oedema improved fairly quickly. Am awaiting an echocardiogram. Waiting to see what Respiratory consultant suggests now.
400mg a day is a standard dose but it can vary from patient to patient. If at all worried consult your medical team.
