Need some advice. Increase to 100mcg?High cholesterol and folate.
Hello everybody. I'm a newbie to the community. I was diagnosed with Grave's disease in 12/2016 and took Thiamazole since then. In early 2017, thiamazole didn't work well with me anymore and my hyperthyroidism was out of control. I then had radioactive iodine therapy in 9/2017 and started to take L-thyroxine

I’m confused about whether iodine is helpful or harmful for hypothyroidism. Can anyone clarify this for me?

Endo says if I have RAI or thyroidectomy the antibodies will probably attack the eyes. Eye hospital says it's not a foregone conclusion that this will happen sounds to me that it's all a bit hit and miss. Think I will try and stay on Carbimazole as long as possible.

4 months post TT.. Thyroglobulin
Hi... Almost 4 months after TT and neck dissection due to papillary cancer and a month after RAI my Thyroglobulin has come back at 184 (0 - 20 ku.l). Is this usual?

Update on second Eyela injection
My first injection was quite painful with sustained stinging and tears for over twelve hours. After 48 hrs when able to wash, I experienced a "chemical peel" in the surface of my facial skin where the iodine was used. Today my clinician recommended using a "double dilution" of iodine as it is a safer

Blood Results
Good Morning All, I have enjoyed reading all the Posts that members have made but never written anything myself; I am hoping someone can help me better understand my blood results from medichecks. A little history- I was diagnosed with Graves in 1999, after 4 years of an overactive thyroid and on maximum

Well first of all my life has gotten so boring I finished this 1500 pieces jigsaw puzzle in five days ... Been on iodine, B12, iron and EAA. Good news is that my TSH and fT4 normalised on iodine. But my fT3 actually dropped which they consider as a sign of DI02 issues and iodine deficiency pushed

Levothyroxine to prevent cancer
My girlfriend had never tested positive for thyroid disorders but, she had a large thyroid nodule (~ 9 x 3 cm) and the left side of her thyroid removed a few years ago. They discovered a micro-carcinoma in her left thyroid. She has been put on 125mg levothyroxine in order to suppress thyroid function

Is it essential to have a prescription for NDT
My case is 40 years old and have suffered with brain fog and other problems for all this time. Diagnosed with Overactive Thyroid in 1994 received RAI made me worse and it is obvious that I am not going to get the support I need from my GP or Endo. I consider it a waste of time

Need help
In March of 2017, I took a bladderwrack/seamoss supplement for 1 week that agitated my thyroid. After going to see endo learned that my preexisting thyroid nodual had increased in size to 1.2 cm. Subsequently after multi tests and biopsy I learned that I had papillary thyroid cancer. On October 30
