Numbness in fingers of left hand
Hi everyone, For some weeks, I have been waking in the night with numb fingers. Is this a symptom of hypothyroidism or is it a side effect of levothyroxine? I take levo any time between 3.30 and 4.30 a.m. If it's a side effect of levo can I safely ignore it? It doesn't trouble me at all in the day.

My take on pain after injections!!
I had such pain after my injection yesterday ( about 3 hours later- i assume when the anaesthetic drops wore off- it was horrendous!! Today it is like a bad first day but can open my eye now- still fuzzy vision The only other time I had pain was when a trainee put the speculum in which holds the eye

Goitre/Thyroiditis
Hi all. Yesterday I woke up with a lump on the right side of my neck. Suspected thyroid enlarged/goitre but it hasn’t been confirmed. I had the flu 2 weeks ago and still have a cough that brings up phlegm and I’m fatigued every day. My ears are also still blocked and pop every day and I didn’t feel myself

THYROID CANCER
I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism with Graves disease back in April 2017. That February I had just got over having pnemonia. December 2017 had been getting a real hoarsy voice sometimes I would lose it. My endcrologist referred me for a scan. I went for a scan and during the scan he went quiet.

Iodine
Can anyone confirm what type of iodine is used in levothyroxine? I use povidone iodine (diluted) on my dog sometimes for itchy skin from mowed grass. After much research one site listed active ingredient in Levothyroxine as povidone iodine? Povidone I always thought was what medical staff use as topical

Blood test results help - Recently started NDT
Just looking some quick advice about blood tests. I'm hypothyroid after having RAI in 2011 and was on Levothyroxine until Feb this year. Started taking Thyroid-S on 2nd Feb and have worked my way up to 2 1/2 grains this week. Had bloods done this week - just through GP so only have the basics. TSH -

yo-yo TSH
My levels have been all over the place since I was diagnosed treated finally with radio-active - iodine therapy in 2007. Lately my T4 has been right in the middle but my TSH has been way to high and then way too low. When I asked my doctor to check my T3 she looked at me like I had a hole in my head

Levothyroxine sensitivity
Hello, I’m new to the group and would love to get your advice! I was treated for an overactive thyroid in 2013 with radio iodine and for 4 1/2 years my Endo consultant told me my thyroid was ‘surprisingly’ normal. Until recently. My last TFT test on9th Feb showed my TSH had gone up to 7.6. My GP was

Post Iodine treatment - anxiety and severe depression
Hi, My mum had an overactive thyroid and was treated with radioactive iodine in Oct 17. Since then she has become anxious, depressed and afraid to leave the house. She isn't eating (rapid with loss) and feels like life isn't worth living. This is heartbreaking to watch and no one seems to be taking her

Tried everything and still not feeling ok
I have been very tired/sleepy from when I was child. I also have very dry skin, hair loss, low body temperature. Before I tried NDT my t3 was in optimal range, but TSH was in top border. So I decided to try NDT. I have tried in last 5 years many things. 5 different NDT brands, different doses. I tried

Endo appointment - hyperthyroidism
At Today's appointment I was told some things that seem a bit contradictory to the messages on here. I'd be interested in any thoughts. •antibodies can't be controlled through lifestyle changes. They are what they are and can't be got rid of. So gluten free won't affect antibody levels or how unwell

Iodine
Hi guys, I have been spending time watching youtube videos & reading up information about Iodine and how key it is for us, especially for people with an under active Thyroid. It does all make sense, and I haven’t yet come across any “anti” Iodine supplement people. Obviously there are varying products

Eggs and iodine (plus other restrictions)
I have separately kicked off a discussion on an earlier thread over medical medium’s key dietary recommendation to give up eggs. For those who did not read the thread there are plenty of views pro and Con and some saying they enjoy eggs. An email today from a leading US Edno suggests that can reduce
