Welcome to the Changing Room... and WELCOME 2025!
Whoa.... how did that happen ?
Well, here we are and some of us, but maybe not all of us, are making plans for our exercise in the New Year.
For many the Winterval days are filled with activity and fun... and maybe a few excesses... but as the days move on we do get that urge to get moving again.
I have snow forecast here, so that exercise for me could be sledging with a small person!
So...how can we start to move onwards... especially when the weather may be against
us.
A few simple pointers.:
* Try not to overthink
* Make a simple ( but tweakable), plan
* Check out ideas for a heathy eating and hydration routine.
* Take it slowly and gently
* Listen to your best guide. Your body,
Okay, that done, what else may we do?
First
The old favourite, walk...just walk... winter walks,( minus ice), great for every bit of us, body and mind. How many posts have we got on that!
When you are able just get out there and do it.
Wrapped up warmly and with a warm drink waiting at home... perfect.
Indoor Yoga and Pilates...Plenty of info here for those of us who enjoy either or both... I know a certain, Bluebirdrunner will be Yoga -ing as we speak!
CBDB has the link up here to the one I am following this January , and she is laid low at the moment too! Recover soon x

The BUPA ones are simple enough !

Just have a scroll around and make a simple routine that you are able to maintain... be realistic... I know that my time is really precious right now, and I am making a simpler routine plan than I normally would.
Rest...
Yes... whilst trying to maintain your exercise do remember to rest. Time to recharge and recover after all the excitement. Quiet time doing what you find most relaxing. !
A good night's sleep will always help too!
So... I am wondering, have you any plans? Or are you just easing back in slowly... if you get chance, we would love to hear from you... if not... I will see you all next week.
Happy 2025.... everyone !
