I love Adriene! I’ll try the yoga for sick recovery…thanks for the recommendation. Covid has gone but I’m still feeling quite tired at times and I’ll take any excuse for a gentle stretch!
I did it...just to experience a gentle workout.. so many of us feeling tired or slightly worn down, right now.I hope it does the trick and you enjoy it x
I went to sleep for an hour! I must have needed it! I’ll check in with Adriene after a super gentle run (my watch is suggesting a pace slower than I’ve ever run before so it’s in my good books at the moment!). She’s often my cool down stretch!
Rub the sleep from your eyes and enjoy that run...maybe if you get chance pop back and tell us how the yoga went x
I really liked it! My gentle was started and remained gentle (which rarely happens!). The weather was unexpectedly hot so I still had a proper sweat on when I got back despite never really having been out of breath. This was a lovely cool down. I particularly liked the spinal twists with eagle legs. Also the slow paced seated twists at the start were great for my upper back and shoulders. I’ve done lots on the laptop this week and was tight everywhere. I feel much looser now!
Id never have picked that workout but I very much enjoyed it. Thanks for the recommendation!
a slow yoga practice sounds a good idea. I have found it difficult to keep up with Adriene as she changes from one move to another and have to use the pause button. 😂
I have been doing (almost) daily Yoga with Adriene for about a year now, which was before I started C25k. I'm convinced the regular practice has helped me avoid injury in the months I've been running (have run previously but always struggled with injuries in the past).
I don't particularly follow any of the calendars, just.pick something that looks good. And some times I end up doing basically the same one 2 or 3 days in a row if I'm shattered and run out of time at the end of the day!
I'll keep Yoga for Sick Recovery in mind for when I'm next ill.
