Hello running folk...

Yes.. here I am again... clocking in to recount the day's adventures...

Woke up this morning after a restful night... I think we are almost caught up on the hours we have missed over the last three weeks... and a slow wake-up with the first part of YWA Gentle Morning Wake up... the bit you can do in bed! Very, very gentle.

Then completely out of the blue... an episode.... over breathing and a quick panic! It lasted about ten minutes, and then as I worked through the breathing exercises... it gradually passed.

No reason for it kicking off and no explanation... but that is the thing with them...no reason.

Anyway... after cups of tea.... and two biscuits. I decided to not do the standing abs...but I did some feet and ankle exercises, toe creeps and some knee exercises.

About 30 minutes all in all.

When I decided to have a plan... I did say it would not be written in stone. There are times when things happen which we can react to in one way or another...this morning, when the panic set in... I had a bit of a battle to get it under-control...but event then, I knew, I would handle it. Positivity...not negativity.

On with the day, and fairly steady, heavy rain made it look as if Mr OF's walk would not happen... but, breakfast eaten and there was a break in the clouds. So togged up for the wet.., and off we set.

A grey sky , seamless except for the merest tear showing a tiny patch of blue.... everywhere was remarkable quiet as we headed out. A very slight incline towards Seagull Roundabout... the pace was a tad quicker than yesterday, a sharp wind taking our breath, as we rounded the corner.

Mr OF is moving better now, his legs seem to belong to him now, and he no longer walks like Worzel Gummidge! I do tend usually to walk much faster than him, but the anxiety episodes although shorter now, do tire me !

There are signs everywhere that the seasons are changing earlier...blackberries tangled in the hedges, the Rowan already covered with the deep shades that my Nan used to say, meant a harsh winter. After 98 of them she was probably more right than wrong! The gardens are looking a tad weary, and the longed for sun only comes in fits and starts...making our way around the roundabout... a van stops to allow us to cross... we clearly look like old people! Up a little way further and across to the other side to head back...

The strip of blue in the sky has disappeared and a large black cloud threatens overhead. There will be no chance of outrunning it:) so we do a slight detour, up a very short uphill bit to the entrance to the golf club and turned towards home. Over the roundabout as the first large drops began to fall. Jackets zipped and hood up, we strolled gently back. It was relaxed and felt easier than the other two... my legs belong to me again too!

We covered only just about a mile...but it was a real milestone for Mr OF.

A good session of dusting meant a bit of a workout after all.... housework does has its upside! And the afternoon spent beginning my new painting,

So... a good day, Tweaking is sometimes necessary in many things and allowing myself to be flexible makes things more relaxed.

Acknowledging, accepting and adapting... gosh how the ,old posts I have put out, come to mean so much!,

Tomorrow is another day... I intend to start with a short morning wake up with Adriene. Then I will try for some proper arm work!!!

The day then is a rest day... is it? Down with daughter and family for her birthday lunch and play time with small runner in training... so, maybe not that much of a rest! But fun.

Good to know too that a few folk have ramped up the exercises and plans .. so my rambling here has its merits:)

Sleep well, or rest easy everyone.

See you tomorrow!

Dusting? Yes definitely a bit of a work out there. The walk was a good one and a mile is a mile. As to the anxiety, hopefully with time and Mr OF's improvement that will fade. Enjoy the new painting. After an hour in the field with daughters dog we came home for dinner and there was a stunning rainbow, so I'm sending you some photos I took although they are pale compared to the reality. Xx

Ey up lass, tha' needs ta steady oop a little. xx

That anxiety attack must have thrown you Floss, good job you have the three A's in your armourery!

We had to sit tight with the rain this morning. I exercised, then we played a game of scrabble, so the grey suff got a workout too!

Later we headed into Harrogate for a quick mooch, and walked around the park. We missed all the rain, which began again as we got back to the car.

Enjoy your day celebrating your daughter's birthday tomorrow, rest as much as you can...💖🎈xxx

That photo is brilliant...I love it!

Yes... I love the snail ones!!!

Yes... when they hit for no reason that you are aware of it is weird... I was fine all day and had a teeny blip just before supper, but that passed very quickly! I have stopped trying to work it out and just go through the , nip in the bud techniques now... I am getting better at it! :)

Those three As... yes!! They have been used a lot these last weeks and Mr OF has adopted them too!

Oh gosh.. rain, but you still had fun and got out as well ! We have been to Harrogate but a really long time ago!

We are heading down just before lunchtime I think... there is sunshine here currently but it looks a little damp later! We shall have fun... and little one will be thrilled ot have everyone there !

Have a lovely day, both of you.. x

PS

Loving the Yorkshire dialect!

🍏 Praying you will find calm in the midst of any personal storm that arises today. As you stretch & breathe may you be relieved of all anxiety, stress, and fear. May all the negative emotions dissipate as you spend fun time with the family. May you be filled with peace, joy, and love as you move through this day, dear Oldfloss. 💕

As always, your posts really make me stop and reflect, also on some of my weaknesses, what I can and cannot do, and how to have a positive perspective on it all.

Thank you.

As a non-native, your posts also often make me delve into a rabbit hole trying to find out things about British culture: I had to look up Worzel Gummidge and must see the new series to get a deeper sense of this character. A new one for me! 🤣

Thanks for your reflective and reflecting posts.

🙏🙂

Thank YOU xxxx That means more than you know x

Get the books... Barbara Euphan Todd... they are a tad dated, and maybe not totally politically correct but they are great... still re- read them and small runner in training has enjoyed them too!

YWA done this morning and 15 minutes foot work... ankle strength and knees and I am not downstairs yet!

Have a super day...!
