What a VERY interesting article, thank you so much for sharing 😊👍 Great ideas - I am lucky because working with 2-4 year olds I am moving all day and often bending down, sitting on the floor and joining in with dancing/action songs etc. But I do need to practise getting up from a cross legged position - perhaps I will challenge the children and do it with them 😂
I do worry about my daughter though - she is in her 30’s, sits all day in an office at the computer, drives to work and then mostly sits at home after work 🫤 She does a yoga class now and again (hates any sort of sport or running - I have tried to inspire her!) . I am going to forward the article to her!
Thanks again 😊

Awh! Thanks for the thanks.
I also got to get better in breaking up my office-job sitting periods. I have tried a standing desk, but difficult with so many screens and cables.
I do have some 5-min yoga YouTube sessions bookmarked in a very prominent place, so it’s easy to lean back, click on the link, and just do a 5min workout at and around the work desk. (Only when at my home office, I haven’t done these in my shared office 🤣🤣🤣)
Haha CBDB, I miss read the title, I read Guardian Angel at first. That's really useful, I know someone who gets up for a walk every time her fitbbit shakes on her wrist, every little bit helps. Love the "Are you sitting comfortably, well get up"🤣
I'm just off to do my S&F with Laura, ear buds in and no stopping. Ah, I nearly forgot, I can do 3 benchdips with 1 leg straight. I do 10 with both legs bent, then have a walk about before adding 3 +3 with alternate legs straight. I got the idea from your fav. rowing coach💪
Thanks for sharing this - it's an interesting article. One of the items is 'fidgeting' and I've heard a couple of people talk about this recently. Even small amounts of movement can keep the metabolism etc going, rather than just sitting slumped in a chair... which I admit is exactly what I'm doing just now!
Wonderful article and I'm happy to realise that I already do some of these things. But hands up, how many of us can do number 2 on the list? It's comical to try and do, and I think it will take lots of practice before I can do the required standing from cross legged with no hands on the floor. Perhaps that's a sign of an ageing body?
I read the book and was very skeptical about this. When I actually tried I was surprised at how well I did. I can stand up using just one hand. My getting down (which is also part of the test in the book) is improving. I can sort of see that maybe one day I'll get there.
