So, I came home from work tired, ate breakfast and fell asleep, when I woke up there was a box on the side, my kettlebell had arrived. Willow opened it for me as I'm rubbish at boxes and sellotape. Wow! 4kg feels quite heavy.
I did a few squats, not too hard but I could feel the difference, then I carried out the exercises the meat delivery man showed me, then I put it on the side and admired it, it's black and shiny.
We are off to Bath tomorrow, so I'll do it all again when we get back Wednesday.
Have fun this week all with your stretches and yoga, all of which I greatly admire,

Squats, just up and down one arm lift, round my head to stretch my neck, tomorrow I will run in the morning then we are off to the Bath spa, that will relax them, they aren't really sore, I just know they are there
Is that your 1st piece of equipment? That must mean you're getting super fit. My only equipment is a chair under my bot for the squats......................just incase
I've got a foam roller for rolling out sore muscles after a long run and some resistance bands my daughter bought me one Christmas, so no it's not my first piece of equipment, oh and running shoes lol π€£ I now have 4 pairs, ,π² but one has been retired for gardening, one retired for walking and work and one is my original pair, I save Β£1 every time I run so once I'm retired I can see lots of running and lots of new shoes yay πA chair to sit in when starting squats is a great idea how are you getting on?
Rolling out sore muscles sounds good, what a good idea to save Β£1 every run. I think Willow should contribute, everytime he doesn't run!πββοΈπ
I'm quite pleased thanks Sola, I'm 3 weeks into the NHS programme. I repeated week one twice and I'll repeat level 2 aswell. I'm getting better slowly at least now I know what I can do best and what I need to work on more. I need to get a door bar or the push/pulling exercises. On the whole I feel better for it. I'm going to add a tiny bit of Pilates training for March MATness! I'll do some standing stretches on the in between days, this year. Next year who knows?πͺ
You you are doing brilliantly, pushing/pulling, I can't do press ups, never could, but I do sort of easy ones against the kitchen sink, if you try those start with only a couple as they can make your shoulders ache. I'm really a lazy runner who just goes out and plods, sometimes walk a bit and sometimes sprint a bit, but I want ed the kettlebell to get stronger as I retire and have more time to run so I reduce the risk of injury
Oh yes! At the moment I'm doing the kitchen workout press ups (10)and none of the pull ups. I'm sure I could do those but there's nothing at shoulder height to pull on and I can't adapt that one, so door bar it is. I keep typing that but I still have to order it
Yes I think I've got that but my jest delivery running coach man was very helpful, I'm starting very gently and carefully, I'd hate to retire injured and not being able to run, 8 weeks and counting π
For music in the bathroom, it's lovely, leave phone in bedroom and music comes out the speakers behind the bathroom mirror, π€£ we are having a wonderful time, doing nothing but I'm looking forward to my run then spa tomorrow.Thank you
Didn't occur to me until I realised the symbols on the mirror were Bluetooth, scared me at first, thought maybe they could see me on the loo ,π€£π€£π€£thanks
I loved it but it most definitely wasnβt flat! I didnβt really like the two lap set up-running it the first time knowing youβd have to run up the hill again was mentally quite tough. Plus thereβs a steep (short) hill to finish. I might do it again one day but not this year!
