I have asked this question on the c25k forum and been signposted here.
I've been running for 30 minutes 2-3 times a week for almost 2 yrs but in April my mid to lower back 'went'. I've been seeing a chiropractor who has really helped and I am back running but don't seem to be getting the root cause, which professional do I need to see?
TIA.

I personally would go for a physio, ideally with running expertise.
I do have a niggling back at times, but there can be so many reasons for that. So getting some expert advice from a physio probably is the best.
However, there are ways to strengthen your back when it is safe to do so (once you do not have a painful back anymore) including this video I came across recently: tinyurl.com/ybtw8mza
I think what I would do in your position is put a programme of gentle strength and flexibility exercises together (if the physio doesn’t do this for you), including
- looking for some Pilates exercises focussing in core, as that from this channel (my favourite Pilates channel) m.youtube.com/c/MovementWit...
And then built a week’s worth of gentle exercises you can fall back to, when you take a rest from running. I did this with strengthening my knees and it worked wonders. Here was my focus week: healthunlocked.com/strength...
It was actually fun putting it together and it made me want to try each one, so really motivating!
And if you have some which work well, please do share them on here. They will benefit others as well, I’m sure.
Let us know how you get on, and really hoping you find a great way forward for your back!
I agree with CBDB, I would go for a physio. Having said that my local osteopaths have sports physios on site so it may be worth checking a few practices near you. Hope you get it sorted it out soon!
