Week 2 / Row 2: A gentle little row

Still recovering from a flu 🤧 🤒 😷 but went for a little row-run through Zwiftland today, and not only was my Avatar exhausted afterwards, I was also really knackered.

It was a gentle row, but it was the first one after my spell in bed due to flu and I’m still recovering.

But I have to say indoor rowing is great for the recovery period, as it can be gentle enough, and my poor lungs (affected by cough) don’t have to breath in cold outside air but still get a gentle workout.

Also gentle on feet (metatarsal friendly).

So I feel lucky that our family invested into an indoor rower a couple of years ago! Especially now, when I can’t run.

One row-run to go to complete the Zwift’s Running101 plan! And boy, do I like a good plan, and this is one, with tempo rows, Intervall rows, easy rows, distance rows and everything in between.

Happy working out everyone!

Glad that you are feeling a tad better and doing your thing! Sounds exhausting though if you are still under par. Flu can be really, really draining. I had it once, and it was dreadful.Your set up sounds so good.

I am trying to get on to the cross trainer in my little gym...but currently, that little room is holding a lot of Winterval boxes and bags and hiding a wonderful doll's house that I bought on GumTree . ( a gift for small one in the New Year!! I cannot reach to cross trainer although moving everything could be a work out!

Feel better soon and take care of yourself:)

😄🎁 sounds like soon you will be able to pave a way to the cross trainer. But presis are so important for the next generation of runners! 😄😄

Well done, it must've been a huge effort, a bad flu is so debilitating. I've only had it once but it knocked me for six. Take it easy and build up very gently. Feel better soon 🤗
