Here where I live (in Belgium), they give weekly free Tai Chi classes of 1 hour in the months July and August in one of our parks. I joined the past 2 classes (classes 2 and 3).
The first time I was suffering with the almost continuous bending through the legs and keeping the arms lifted. But I wanted to try again. And yesterday it went already a bit better. Are my legs and arms already becoming stronger?
I will follow all classes, except the last 2 as I am on holiday then. I will miss the classes afterwards. I already looked in the past for permanent classes, but they are not possible for me because of practical reasons. And for online classes I just don't have the room at my appartment.
So I guess I should just enjoy the classes while I can. But I feel they strengthen my legs and arms and it would be nice to be able to continue...
Definitely enjoy the luxury of the park classes. You might have seen a recent chat about Tai Chi, as we did do a 5-day Tai ‘Challenge’. Great fun and it introduced me to Tai Chi ☺️🤗. There are one or two people on here who regularly do Tai Chi.
Link is here, just in case this is of interest but I am aware that you suggested you have a lack of space to do indoors. But link is here: healthunlocked.com/strength...
Ahh, thank you so much for this link CBDB - I am going to try the 5 minute challenge over the school holiday. In the first video the lady says that it takes 100 days to create a habit - if I start today it will be exactly 50 days until the Autumn term starts - can I do it!! The videos look great - relaxing. Thanks again 😀
It is great that you can join a free class and it is nice exercising outside. My daughter goes to 'Yoga in the park' in the summer and that is also free. It is so important that free exercise classes are available because it encourages those less enthusiastic folk (my daughter doesn't like any sports/running and does very little exercise). Enjoy 😀

Completely agree. We’ve commercialised and marketised ( under the guise of being entrepreneurial) so much that I think our society suffers. There does need to be a balance, and with 10 years of cuts to local authorities, their ability to provide free offers of sports and culture, especially family oriented, has been severely strained. And that is the that stuff that generally makes it really worth and fun living! But I think there is a shift in thinking with free running (Parkrun), free tennis ( public courts are increasing), free family fun days, etc.
And doing things outdoor is also increasing and it so healthy to one’s mind, I find.
I am about to head outdoors to do Yoga in the garden. Although a bit of hassle (packing a bag with everything, as I still need blocks, blanket, and mat), it is so worth it.
