Juju’s micro workout review 🌈

I’ve started doing a fast mile on a Monday, and I decided to do a pre micro workout to get my joints ready. I found this one after a google search. It’s the Nike run club people, and run by women’s heath magazine.

Pros:

*it’s very easy to follow.

*It loosened up my hips which are always really stiff first thing.

*The exercises are also good for my balance, which Is always good to work on.

*It’s very quick.

Cons:

You can’t follow along, so I had to pause a couple of times to catch up.

I find the people a little bit annoying.

It doesn’t ‘flow’ like yoga does.

Best quote…. “so pop that booty back”

You'll have to keep doing it til you've got it memorised 😊 Or maybe make your own follow along video for it one rainy afternoon when there's nothing else to do ... yeah, right 🙄

Haha yes.... I have started to memorise them a bit, but I quite like having them babble on in the background!!

I'd write it all out on a piece of paper which would gradually disintegrate in my running belt 😄

Great thanks...all new to me, may add a few to my current dynamic pre-run stretches, or alternate for variety. Could certainly feel the pull on my achy hamstrings with a couple of them and as you say, loosened up the hips 😊

great plan, and I have a really stiff right hip, so this works well for me...

These are good, nice and easy to do which I like 😊👍

But, a couple of questions:

Should I do a 5 min walk first?

They called them ‘dynamic’ exercises - I thought that meant moving exercises eg walk then lunge, then continue walking.

Sorry for silly questions! 🤔

Hello, the dynamic bit means joint movement. And in everything I have ever read about running, it always suggests a warm up walk is definitely advisable, and I certainly do this too.

These look good - if only they were that easy! I've book marked them on my laptop to give them a try when I'm off the I C 😃

Fab, and I am so sorry you are on the IC, I hope you are back running again soon :)

That looks really good! Thanks for sharing. I’ve noticed my hips very tight so those hip flexors are helpful.
