Hit the gym this morning and with view it would be light and I'll go for a cycle to put the other night in the bin. Didn't quite happen. Some how I talked myself into do a good gym session and nrc sprints. 😂 Honestly love when this happens.

Gym work is below and run in pic.

Single kb shoulder 3 sets x10 (8KG)

Press up 3 sets x 10

Low row 3 sets x10 (20kg 30kg 30kg)

Upright row db x12 (16kg 20kg 20kg)

Row 3 sets x10 (40kg 30kg 30kg)

Shoulder press 3 sets x10 (20kg 25kg 30kg)

Curl to press shoulder db 3 sets 10 reps (10kg 10kg 10kg)

Sprints where good but thought the avg pace would have been slightly faster. Oh well. Bath time.

That is something I have never managed, a gym session with a run session, occasionally I have done a little treadmill warm up when I was at my old gym but I walk to my new gym so I’m all warmed up. Well done great work out. Rfc x

Im going to try and do this at least once if not twice a week, granted not all at this high intensity. Was talking to a guy in gym and read a bit that doing cardio after weights really helps. My run felt great. I was slow in a couple of sprints but that was up hills. My body just couldn't face the cycle I think. I think I'm going to give up on the club, work away on my own. Might even swap my bike for a mountain bike and have best of both worlds. Go at my own pace. The groups are great but honestly I ain't looking to do 32/50 miles every time. I don't have the time all the time then you loose the rythem.

I am a lone exerciser too, I have tried classes and groups but with one unmovable session it makes the other ones hard to fit in when something else changes, I need to be flexible with my job. I have never thought about running after the gym, mainly because my physio told me that while I was building up my hamstrings I shouldn’t strength train them and run on the same day, but they are feeling strong now after 5 months of work. I know I always feel a buzz walking back after a gym session, not so much after a gym and swim on 😂, which is what I am doing now. I think with the bike group you are making the right decision, our exercise schedules have to fit and and the definitely have to feel right.
