Hi, I have been exercising for over a year now. I am severely overweight and as short as I am wide, with a bmi of 50!! As I am still the same a year on although slightly fitter than what I was but still no where near someone who walks for buses etc I thought I better do something else. Then I came across the 12 week plan. So on top of my usual light exercise which I am continuing I have started this plan. I am 3 days into it and having done 4 of my usual sessions on top of the plan and I feel great, a bit sore in places. Although now I am feeling even more hungry! I hope I don't lose the motivation and determination I have. Although being so obese I went for an mot and the results came back practically perfect, no risk of stroke, heart disease etc etc with a 97% healthy result. I put it all down to my previous healthy lifestyle. Any other tips for me would be great!
2 days into the couch 2 5k 1 day into stre... - Strength & Flex
2 days into the couch 2 5k 1 day into strength and flex and 3 days into the 12 week fitness plan!
I am no expert but I started the couch 2 5 k last June and feel much better for it.
Remember to take the day's rest between runs.
I weigh the same as last August but I have gone down 3 dress sizes - and running for the bus is easier.
Thanks for the reply. Wow at dropping 3 dress sizes! I've stayed the same for years even with regular exercise! I do feel fitter in fact I know I am, my aerobics I started last year I couldn't lift 2 feet off the floor at the same time and now I can jump! Walking up the stairs is easier too. I was hoping to get Mother's Day off but the way things went on Friday meant I had that as my day off. Back to it today, my usual aerobics this morning, then strength and flex later. It's killing me but my hubby says I'm putting my heart and soul into it, fingers crossed I stay motivated.
