Numb white tongue?

Hi I'd like to hear from anyone else suffering with a tongue problem, I have raynauds in my hands but also in my tongue, very painful,very very scary!!!

Hi, I have Raynaunds in hands and moreso in my toes.. I've had some numbing in my lips and thought of Raynauds and yeah, it's scar; very similar to being at the Dentist and had a mouht full of local anesthetic.. Was told to keep my lips covered from the cold and not to eat anything hot or chewy or I might damage my lips..

It must be so awful for you having Raynauds in your tongue and especially difficult eating..! When I visited a speech about Raynauds in my lips she advised to eat and drink with a mirow sitting on the table so I can see my mouth while I'm eating; so perhaps this might help you too Lupdaloop..?

I have not had Raynauds in my tongue. But all sorts of areas of the body are affected by it, and not just those commonly quoted.

Shame, so sorry about your tongue! I had Behcets, a rare blood disease and this gave me ulcers in the mouth and I couldn't eat for 3 years! I had to suck soups etc. from a straw. I would boil big chunks of Beef, Pork, Lamb and chicken and the stock from that, which is really pure, I would freeze and then melt as needed and suck through a straw. Try this, it's very nourishing and painfree! I'd be interested to know what medication you're on as well. I will pray for you. Be encouraged, because I was healed of this disease 32 years ago and it is an incurable disease. Put your trust in Jesus, and ask Him for your healing.

Nettie545, I find your remark on trusting in JESUS so uplifting, profound and true, I just had to say thank you. MikefromSouthNZ, I am praying for you too. I have Raynauds, along w/Scleroderma - but the Raynauds primarily affects my hands and feet. What meds are you taking for this?

i don't have raynauds in my tongue but classic symptoms but had a lot of dental work done try not to worry i am sure you will be fine chin up be positive sorry to hear god bless

This is something I have suffered from in the past. However medication seems to have stopped it and I mostly suffer with my hands now (and sometimes my feet). That said I have had some numbness in my tongue over the Easter weekend during a couple of bad attacks. If you have had not had your raynauds checked out then you probably should - i.e is is primary or secondary. Once you know which it is then you can be treated accordingly. Good luck.

As you know Raynaud's can affect the tongue and can even make speech difficult. It sometimes feels as though the tongue is twice the size and it gets in the way. I do not know of a remedy but want you to know that you are not on your own with this problem.

Hi my reaynauds always affects my tongue as much as it does my fingers am not sure about whats cuasing it but I did not get raynauds til I was in my 30s I went to doctors they said they didwere an ANA test the results of this I have not been told I was put on nifedapine and that was the end of that no other tests for anything else have been done I am now 43. I have been admitted to hospital once when my raynauds caused an infection in my finger so sever that when the infected part burst open u could actually seebe white stringy things coming out of the wound the doctor said they were nerves he was unable to save the nerves and now I have have no sensation in that finger at all I have trawlled the internet looking for answers as recently my health has eteriorated so much I HAVE LOST SO MUCH WEIGHT THAT MY ENTIRE FACE HAS CHANGED and I amso scared my legs swell quite badly it looks strange cos from the ankle to the shin stay normal and it swells from when the mucle at the back starts and above that is where it swells I was taken to hospital a few weeks ago with chest pain they did an ECG at home thatwill was fine they did 1 at the hopital I went to see my doctor she then told me I had to go for another ECG as the 1 they did at the hospital had shown something on it I wet for another and cos that wasI fine at that time no more has been said I tried to tell the doctor thst something is not right cos I no when my heart is not right cos I actually physically feel it now it seems to be doing it more and when it does happen I get really out of breath even if am sat down I beleive there is something more going on but I cant get anyone to listen to me and I feel time is not on my side like right now I am satjust writing this and I am feeling the heart thing again and I cant seem to breath in properly I need someone to listen as I have 7 grandsons that need me right now but I know inside myself my time is seriously and quickly running out!
