but it just forms little calloused hard spots right at my finger tip and sides.
Then the fingertip one sluffs off and reforms. My fingertip does get more blue there at times while my hand is not. Anybody got something similar?

It sounds like calcinosis to me. Don't you get them in other places also. I do. They don't hurt but may itch.
Yes I get patches of hard skin which build up on the same places on some of my fingers, but not on the tips. When they get sore and start to dig in I put moisturiser on them and cover them with a dressing to soften them, after a few days they usually lift off. But the last time I tried to lift it off too early and ended with an infection which needed antibiotics. Be careful.
I get these on my fingers as well as other parts of my body but mainly both legs which are covered with the scars. I get the terrrible itching which last for ages dispite applying the creams and taking antihistamine tablets. I don't get the flaking off of the skin but the itching can last for days and often flare up again. I know how it it for you and you have my sympathies. Try to keep your hands moisturised with oils(olive etc) and wear gloves to wash up and cleaning. Detergents will irritate and cause more discomfort to yourself. Get some antihistamine tablets and a little hydrocortisone ointment if possible. Your doctor can prescribe these or you can get them from the chemist. The phamacist will advice you on how to use the medicine. Good luck! Hope you feel better soon.
Hydrocortisone ointment? Thats interesting.
