I have recently seen the DR who confirms I have an enlarged lymph node in my armpit (x2 normal size) -?

Hi friends -I have CREST - Limited S/|Sclerosis- I am wondering whether this maybe connected to the auto immune disease ? There are no other enlarged nodes just the one as far as the Dr can feel. I would love to know if anyone else has experienced this & if so what happened did they decrease in size >? he wants to see me again in 6 weeks - anyone else get these ?

I have had enlarged lymph nodes in my lung area. My GP found them due to a cat scan.He ordered a pet scan but found no cancer. My Rheumatoligist said that sometimes enlarged nodes are due to CREST....which I have. I would still have it checked out to make sure.

Yvonda , Thank you for taking the time to reply ... much appreciated - I am due to go back to the consultant 3rd January ..... It was mentioned it could be due to CREST from one medical expert & not due to CREST from another ! I wish you could rely on a definitive answer from the profes

For me, it's more in the neck area. They're more noticeably enlarged when I'm having a bad time (physically). They're in a strange place in the neck so I find it difficult to check them - my rheumatologist usually tells me when they are enlarged.

Yes, I have in neck, and under my arms, too. Had a biopsy on one neck one a few years ago, and result was inconclusive, (not too reassuring), but I have 6 chronic illnesses, so some of them - scleroderma, mixed connective tissue diease, raynaud's, fibromyalgia, ME/CFS & Osteoarthritis - seem to get blamed,
