Does anyone know if this could be connected with Raynaud's? I would appreciate any help or advice :)

I also have Raynaud's with scleroderma. I have never experienced arm pain. I would speak to your gp to rule out any cardiac problems. Is it brought on by exercise and do you have any shortness of breath? It may also be muscular pain. Best to speak to your doctor.

Hi. Thank you for your answer. I am not experiencing any shortness of breath. It's a general aching and feeling of weakness in my arm which gets worse when I use it to pick something up etc. I have been researching raynauds since my diagnosis and just wondered if it could be in connection. I will see if it passes in the next few days and if not will see my GP

Hi ya, I agree with the first response about getting alittle check up on the heart -- then once that is ruled out, review shoulder/neck/wrist to check on other possible problems...sending you good thoughts. Stay warm!!

hey Hannah...odd to read your post. I have severe R's and experience intermittent pain at the pulse point under my L bicep, and not due to post-workouts. I've had all of the vascular studies done, with no major issues detected. My rheum and I have attributed it to the vasospasms that occur in the extremities. Along with multiple supplements and meds, she does have me taking 2 81mg aspirin bid., suggesting this will help prevent any clotting problems. Hope that is helpful...let me know how you manage :)

I get pain in my right arm, but I think it is muscular. But then I sometimes get pains and then they go away. I have limited Raynaud's and scleroderma. Best to see your GP.

Hi Hannah, I have Raynauds and scleroderma, about 3 months ago I had sudden onset of aching in left arm, radiating from elbow crease. I think it is muscular, had echo and ecg my heart is fine. Rheumatologist wasn't much help saying it was probably part of my 'condition' which wasn't good enough. When I last visited royal free scleroderma clinic, consultant said my vitamin D levels were very low, and could cause muscular problems. Have now been put on colecalciferol capsules for 3 months to bring my vitamin d levels up, have been taking them for about 2 weeks now, and don't know if it's my imagination, but my arm feels much better. Hope you get to the bottom of it.

I also have systemic scleroderma with the CREST I too have pain in my left arm but I have some arteries in my arms blocked which is causing the raynauds that is how I was diagnosed. If you have a GP switch to an internist you will get better health care. I'm also a nurse and since I switched I have had less flares and taking less medications. Still have my days but much better than last year!

Thank you for all your answers. It is re assuring to hear from other people. I have known I have Raynaud's for a couple of years but this winter has been particularly bad. My fingers can go sometimes 4 times per day so recently decided to see my GP. Have had all the tests to rule out any underlying conditions which all came back clear which is good news. Driving does seem to trigger it for me and the only way I seem to be able to ease the symptoms is by putting my hands in very warm water. I am sure this is not the best way to relieve the problem but seems to be the only way. Now the weather is warming up, it is becoming better. Have found this site really useful to hear from others!! :)
