Hi there. I have had scleroderma for 3 years. I have times when i have very tight itchy skin. I do also have tight skin on my face. I have found nothing other than a round of a steroid prescribed by doctor to give temporary relief

I have recently been having the same problem. I presume it's connected to the Scleroderma, with the tightening of the skin on the face affecting my eyes.

My eyes are very sore ALL the time, they itch, they feel tired and strained, I constantly wipe them, it feels like grit in them. Also when I wake up there is an awful lot of 'sleep ' in both eyes.

Do any of these symptoms tally with your problem?

I am seeing my GP on tuesday and will hopefully get some answers, I suggest that you do the same. Take care.

Thank you for your replies....I also have a dry, gritty sensation in my eyes and I don't produce any tears...on the times that I have needed to cry, my eyes become hot, prickly and blood shot....I apply regular visco tears to help lubricate my eyes..I'll speak to my GP when I see him at the end of the week...take care
