I'm curious to know if anyone has tried acupuncture, acupressure or cayenne pepper for the Raynaud's?

Turmeric, ginger liquorice are also good, (and garlic) haven't tried the others. I'm sure accupressure/reflexology may be helpful?? If you can afford it, I would think anything instead of pharmaceuticals, has got to be worth a try. :)

Tried two courses of acupuncture, one before having kids, and one course of treatment years later...no benefit/ relief from R's. A few years ago John's Hopkins research posted a study explaining the ineffectiveness of acupuncture for R's...wish I knew before wasting $$.If you try cayenne, take the capsules; direct application of the powder to skin can burn!

Hi there - Totally understand you 'd like to know before trying alternatives - acupuncture can also be expensive... I have tried it for me the effect was only temporary....I would nt bother if I was you save your monies. I think the practical options are better...gloves - silk liners - layers - dispoable handwarmers etc these are still natural...and cheaper. I have not tried cayenne but at least that is cheaper than treatments which can be a quick fix. I have not tried acupressure so cannit commnet.

take care AliW x

I have had acupuncture for pain of torn rotator cuff and it worked also had reflexology did no good for Raynauds but was good for stress and a nice bit of me time so don't write it off without trying. Reflexologist used to have to warm her hands up half way through as my feet are always like icy marble.
