Hi all new to this group and appreciate any help.

I have Reynards and Systemic Scleroderma. My problem is I seem to catch any bugs going that either I catch from the public or my wonderful grandchildren bring. But then I get the cold etc so bad I end up in bed for a week.

Can anyone recommend any good vitamins or supplements that they take to help with the immune system. Dreading winter ! Thanks

when I was first diagnosed the info sheet from the Royal Free recommended all sorts: vitamins C, D, E. Turmeric, boswelia, garlic, ginger, ginkgo biloba. Perhaps some others. Prof Denton has explained it that due to the stiffening of the walls of blood vessels we both take less nutrients etc from our food into our blood and let less out into the organs that need them. So we have to take high doses of supplements to stand a chance of enough getting through.

For immunity specifically I guess vitamins d and c, garlic, echinacea, and ginkgo?

Also, the best quality you can afford. FSC, Solgar and Viridian are good brands. But I’ve started to opt for cheaper due to the cost.
