Ulcers on fingertips

Hi my name is Ramina and I have been diagnosed with Lupus, MCTD and Raynaud’s. I have been suffering with 3 ulcers on my index fingers. I have undergone vascular surgeries with mo success and I’m on several medications to help improve circulation for my Raynaud’s. I’m looking for advice to see what else I can do to help get rid of these painful ulcers. Any help/advice is truly appreciated.

Try and reduce your stress level. Stress really has a devastating effect on scleroderma patients. Keep your blood sugar balanced and take good care of yourself. I use cannabis for pain management and I’m off fentanyl patches which were worse than heroin.

Hello Ramina,

Sorry to hear you are suffering so much with finger ulcers. I had a really bad spell about four years ago, ended up losing one third of my right index finger. The only thing that helped in the end was Sildenafil (viagra). I took it for five or six weeks and all my ulcers dissapeared. What medication are you on?

Yes, I’m on Sildenafil and pericardial XL. I also have had bilateral hand surgeries for the circulation. I donthe hearing pass and gloves. The ulcers are so stubborn they just won’t go away and are very painful. But great advice from everyone 😊

Hi Ramina, I can well relate to your health situation. I have had ulcers and infections many times. I do not take any medications because of the side effects. I take a lot of Shaklee vitamins. In addition, I take 2000 mgs. of Niacin daily. I use pocket handwarmers to keep circulation to my fingertips. You can soak your hands in hot water, too. Check back with me if you need more details. Take care of yourself.

Hallo, I recommend Corpitol Emulsion. It speeds up healthy skin regeneration and overgrows the lesion. The ulcer must be clear of necrotic debris, Corpitol is applied to the surrounding healthy skin. It costs 40E per 100ml here in Spain. Worth every penny, do not apply Corpitol Oil. It doesnt work, only the emulsion will do the job. It cured bed sores and very stubborn ulcers in my family, including my own.

It has to be ordered online, I believe it is not available in the UK.

You will not be disappointed.

Regards

I just looked on Amazon UK. It is available there for £33.55 plus £10 delivery for 100 ml.

Hi Ramina.

I'm sorry to hear of the trouble you are having :(

I have had reoccurring digital ulcers for 12 years. I've tried many meds but in my experience the sildenafil (Viagra) does the best job on getting the blood flowing right into all my fingertips. It's my miracle drug. I hope you try it and are as impressed as I was.

Also, with ulcers, I find soaking them for just under 5 mins in warm water with Epsom salts twice or 3 times a day helps bring out the nasty stuff that is inside keeping them from healing. It hurts at first but when you notice that the salt water starts to make it itchy then it's healing.

I used Manuka honey after the GP had tried everything. I still have one on my index finger. My Consultant put me on Ileoprost treatment not very pleasant but after 2 years the worst one has resolved x
