Anyone with chilblains on their toes? How do you manage with shoes?

Chilblains
Yes I get them every winter.
Are you on vasodilators such as nifedipine?
You will need roomy shoes that aren’t going to put pressure on the fragile tissue. Chilblains can breakdown and ulcerate so pressure should be removed as much as possible. Also I layer socks to help with keeping feet warm and sheepskin insoles if possible. I have purchased for this year a pair of shearling lined boots which are great and shearling slippers.
If the skin is intact there are numerous creams that can be applied. AKILWINTER chilblain and frostbite cream, GEHWOL Warme-Balsam are both good and can be found on AMAZON. Calamine and witch hazel can help with the itching.
STAY COSY 🤗
Thanks for your reply. I'm not taking any oral medication, couldn't tolerate any of them. I have 6 monthly Iloprost infusions for Raynaurds. Have had ulcers on my fingers for years, but feet have been fine up until last year when I had a few weeks of chilblains, they seem to have started earlier this year.
I always suffer with chilblains and have found that sudocrem is good on them, it stops the itching. At home I wear the Reynauds socks and if i go out I wear socks with wool.
Thanks, I'll give it a go. Hands are not too bad at the moment, think they have moved to my feet!
