Chilblains - any success stories or remedies?
If you have Raynaud's these are not chillblains and you cannot cure them with remedies. You need to see your doctor and specialist as soon as possible. You may need urgent Iloprost.
Oh gosh ... I am scared now zenabb... what do you think these are ? They are red - itchy lumps on my toes I have have had Iloprost before & had an awful allergic reaction & the rheumy will not adminsister again ... please advise thanks
I have had chilblains Zenabb with raynauds secondary to scleroderma, and they are defo red and itchy! Be careful not to warm your hands or feet up too quickly when you have an attack, as this can cause chilblains. Pawpaw cream that you buy online is meant to be effective.
I get chilblains with my Raynaud's every winter They result from the vasospasms of the fingers or toes rewarming too quickly, or heat that is too high(ie-space heater). They are so tender and itchy...seems to take forever to go away! I soak my hands and feet in warm water, and apply Zim's crack creme spray. crackcreme.com/
Don;t know if this helps. I was at the podiatrist on wednesday, the base of my big toe was quite tender ,thought it might be the start of a chilblain. She recommended Thovaline cream. Haven't used it yet so don't know if it actually works.
