Hello can anyone recommend fine gloves for typing. I have some fingerless ones but they're a bit too thick and the ends of my fingers still get cold. I was looking at some on a website called safetygloves.co.uk but they only come in packs of 10. Thanks!

Hello Portmoon. I read that keeping your wrists warm really helps cold stiff fingers. I have some fingerless gloves but they are ones without any finger divisions so you can have them well over your fingers but without the divisions it's much easier to type with them. I also wear mine to play the piano (very badly so don't get excited) but the gloves do the trick. You need them to be quite long so the wrists are cosy. I also have pair from a company called Turtle Doves (or something like that) they recycle cashmere jumper and turn them into fingerless gloves - lovely colours and lots to choose from. When I received them I realised they are made from the sleeves of jumpers - very nice but it's given me the urge to chop sleeves off jumpers and conjure up another pair myself. Best wishes and keep warm.
PS it's much easier to type (and play piano) without the finger divisions, I don't even notice I have gloves on now I have this sort. Basically they are just a close fitting woolly tube and you can pull them down over your fingers as far as is practical for you to work.
I'd be interested to know from people with Raynauds - have you tried the silver fingerless gloves for typing raynaudsdisease.com/silver-... and do you find them as effective as the full-hand ones?
Hi Portmoon,
I have use the silver gloves for a few years now and find they are surprisingly warm given how thin they are. Mine have the fingers in and eventually I wear through the fingers, although I wear them a lot for work (typing & paperwork)
I buy mine from the SRUK shop.
Take care,
Sarah
Thanks Sarah, can you post a link to the ones you buy?
I buy the 12% silver gloves but they also do an 8% which is cheaper.

I pull the gloves inside out, of the gloves I don't use anymore. The linings are fleece, plus they usually have a good fit not over snug.
ooh I also carry a little hand warmer with me to rechargeable last time about 6-8 hours on medium and I love it
HI, I use these black gloves containing silver. The aircon at work sets my fingers off and these work really well or typing and mobile. Fine and comfy to wear
I find these fingerless gloves - actually very long wrist and hand coverings, brilliant annafalcke.com/collections/...
thanks all for your very helpful replies! 😀
I recently got some Uvex Phynomic Foam gloves which are nice for around the house but a touch too thick for typing efficiently. I've ordered a pair of Uvex Phynomic AirLite with the hope that they might be better, and I'll try to report back once I've received them. Both gloves look very industrial but at home who cares.
I spotted a Facebook ad a couple of years ago for USB gloves - they are fingerless, but they heat up when plugged into the USB jack. Have a search for USB gloves and they might help - although they are fingerless, he concentrated heat does help with the whole hand (or so I have found).
