Suffer with Limited Scleraderma and have had a cough for about three weeks, the night time is the worst have purchased a humidifier which helps slightly, but sometimes I can not seem to take a deep breath, have to sleep sitting up with a mask. Just wondering if any one else has experienced this.

Thank you

you should email your rheumatologist secretary. They should get you in for lung function. In the meantime make an appointment with your GP just incase it’s unrelated.

If you have reflux prop the head of your bed on bricks so you don’t breath in stomach acid.

Good luck

Yes, same as the other answer - I had this and it turned out to be acid reflux, and inhaling it into my lungs. Its so horrible and I still get it occasionally, waking me in the middle of the night.

But definitely go for a lung function test as well!

I had Achalasia several years ago and had a major operation, I get some pain and I do struggle sometimes to get food to go down, but with regard to the breathing and coughing I have to agree with you and the previous lady I will be getting a lung function test.

Thank you so much for your reply.
