Hi all I have Raynaud's and Inflammatory Arthritis. Today has been first proper white finger day as there was a frost but I expect it will be in full swing from now on and soon it will be all fingers and toes.

I'm posting this here to see if anyone else gets these 'dents'? First there was one and since I have been home and my finger has thawed out I have 2. As ever they are more noticeable in real life. Any clues?

Hello, and erm no, I don't get the dents though I do get white finger - and mauve grey on a bad day. Hope someone will be able to give you more help soon. I find bamboo viscose ecsema gloves useful in the house for reasonably tactile indoor gloves (and over any cream I've applied) and put on really thick hiking gloves for outside. Sometimes wear thick fingerless knitted gloves indoors over the bamboo viscose gloves.

Hi Brychni How frozen/cold did your hands get??? Have to be cautious not to get frostbite.

To restore the circulation quickly place hands under warm only running water or in a warm water filled container until they pink up.

Repeated severe frozen fingers/toes can lead to nerve damage frostbite even ulcers gangrene and amputation.

Hand warmers a must for severe cases. Also heard of electric socks to keep toes warm too.

Same warm water for your tootsies till pink up is achieved as well.

About the dents, I’m not familiar with these myself. I know that my dad suffers from hand blanching so severe his turn a purple blue. They are stiff and ice cold to touch.

He has a diet of high salt which contributes to his severity complicated by heart failure...long explanation of how it all results in his severity of Raynauds.

I do get depressions on my finger pads with my Raynauds. I’m not sure if this is similar to your dents.

Keep this pic to show your doctor that treats you for your Raynauds.

Should be helpful in getting at least an opinion if not the cause.

Sorry you suffer all of this.

Best wishes for improvement soon.
