Week 3, of fun and laughter!

Hello all you lovely people, well I cant believe its the end of week 3 of the school holiday, its right what people say, time flies when you are having fun. My granddaughter really is a tonic. Monday she helped me at the community library where I volunteer. We went to Mcdonalds for breakfast and then onto the cinema on Tuesday, to see Antman and the wasp, ( I am a great fan of Marvel films). Wednesday was a chill out day, however we laid out on the star loungers again at night til 11 30 looking at the stars there were thousands and it really is a wondrous thing. Then on Thursday we managed to get out on our bikes at last ( read last weeks post as to why it didnt happen last week) believe it or not we managed 20 miles in all, I hasten to add we were out most of the day, mainly because my granddaughter loves to climb trees, had a picnic. I have to point out that by the time we got home, my bottom was a bit tender! haha, in fact it still is today, and my body feels tired, but what the hell it really was worth it. Today was baking day, cheese scones and fruit scones!, so end of another week, oh I am taking said granddaughter and her older sister to the shakesperean theatre in York on Sunday to see Romeo and Juliet. Onwards and upwards and I am still smiling and waving folks, have a good weekend, stay as positive as you can, and if you get the chance look up at those stars! xxx

Hi, my granddaughter is 12 next week, her sister is 15. The 12 year old is a real joy to be around, I dont know whether you have read my previous posts but i have looked after them since they were babies, how lucky I am. The 15 yr old, is a less frequent visitor now, sadly. xxx

yes I have but had wee sneak back just to refresh my memory lol Unfortunately to busy enjoy themselves to visit granny so much when they get to 15 lol still love you just as much I am sure. I too have looked after my grandson a lot since he was born but not so much since he start school .

My son lives a bit away and we don't drive which is a nuisance now .Would love to pick him up from school each day but the bus service not good out their way; we went one day a couple of weeks ago to pick him up at the holiday school club it took us 2 hours to get there lol like a day trip out only take 25 minute in car hahaha

thanks for your lovely reply, make the most of every moment you do get to spend with him, I"m sure he loves spending time with you, and it may be worth seeing if he would like to have a sleepover, grand parents can spoil them, by letting them stay up later than usual, looking at the stars. Buses never seem to go where and when we need them, but, because you"re not driving you get to see things out of the window that you don"t normally see. Have a great weekend, xxx

Hi fairy56, the only wasp I have encountered this week was in my arm.Felt sorry for myself until my five year old granddaughter sat on one and got it in her bum. Sounds as if you are having a great time, keep it up, enjoy. xx

Hello Debbie, I often wonder what the purpose of wasps are, and the only answer I can come up with, is to see how many people they can sting in a day, haha, I bet they keep a tally!

Brilliant fun!! 😀 We've got our 2 grandchildren for the weekend. We saw Incredibles 2 which we loved and tea at Pizza hut. Now we're dancing to Beatles songs before calming down for bedtime, fingers crossed!!

It's great to be able to see young minds and hearts growing and enjoying living in the moment. T teaches me how to stop worrying about future potential problems and just be happy that we could have such a good time and make lovely memories for 2 potential world changers.

Keep up your fun posts😊😍xx

hello KatieAnna, thank you for your lovely reply, you are so right in as much that they have the ability to make everything okay, I know my granddaughter manages to take my mind of this complicated condition. I am looking forward to the 4th week of looking after her, and know there will be lots of laughter! enjoy the rest of the weekend with your grandchildren, every minute is so precious, xxx
