I have Primary Raynauds and have been put on amlodipine 5mg and have had symptoms of headaches, trouble sleeping, increased urination. I have only been on these tablets for 6 days. What should i do?

Get back to your doctor. There's plenty of other medication to replace it with.

I have been on Nefidipine, Losartan Potassium and Felodipine already. Will I still go back to gp? I'm scared incase they say I'm waiting there time. But at the same time I don't want to deal with symptoms everyday that make me ill?

Bertie

I was put on amlopodine 5mg for high blood pressure (I have raynauds of a sort) and it made my ankles swell in that it was painful to walk and at night the lower legs tingled like nettle rash. And yes, I had trouble sleeping and felt a little hungover the next day. Went to see my GP and he tried to put me on a water tablet and said I felt I shouldn't be taken another pill to counter one I am on - so he changed me to Parmid 2.5mg which is Felodipine to be taken in morning. This is much better and my Pharmacist said to come in and see him as I had problems with Amlopodine he needed to report it, so I went after being on Felodipine for a week and he filled in 2 forms, one for Amlopodine and one for Felodipine which go off to some Pharmaceutical Controlling body. I am to report to Pharmacist again next week. It would appear that they too have tick boxes like teachers, social workers etc. that they have to complete.

So I am thinking maybe going to your Pharmacist might be a way for you

Lastly I need to tell you that what made the difference to what I can only explain as hard, frozen feet is Fluoxetine 20mg (which was Prozac) - and I have been on most of the meds you list. With the Felodipine and Fluoxetine combined my feet and lower legs feel tingly and yes it is still feels stiff but today I do not have any socks or pop-socks on - so a definite improvement.

I see the Rheumatologist who suggested the Fluoxetine in early June and I might kiss her feet as I have been 3 years trying to find something to help.

So do make another appointment with your GP but do visit your Pharmacist who seem to be available far more than my GP ever is.
