Hi there -- what exactly are your problems since you started mycophenolate? I had to come off that medication; it made me feel "odd" and weak and seemed to make no difference to the skin tightness in my legs. Now I have three different creams to help the skin tightness. They were prescribed by the dermatology team at the Royal Free Hospital. Maybe you should discuss this with your GP or ask to see your rheumatology team.

Good luck!

I take it for my lung damage ...don't have skin problems and I am fine with myco. No weakness or feeling odd at all...just the normal joint pain and swelling and swallowing problems but wasn't aware that the myco. would help with that specifically. Guess we all experience Ssc. meds. differently.

I have the same but not through mycophen. I had this before I was diagnosed with Ssc. I was told that my bladder was 'flat' at the base and the urine was not being completely emptied and because of the small amount left it was causing bacteria to multiply and cause uti's....so I was put onto small dosage of anti biotics which I have to take every night and did have another tablet to try to soften my bladder to allow all the urine to be emptied. I think this was a simplistic explanation by my doctor at the time to make me understand the why's of uti in my case. Anyway, I don't know if this is your problem but sure that when you go to urologist you will get an answer and help with it. I still get occasional uti's and just drink lots of water and it clears it up now....gives it a good 'flush out' so to speak! :).

Hope you get relief soon. Keep well going forwards..x
