Raynaud's and endometriosis?

Hello everyone,

I have been suffering from Raynaud's since I was 11 and I am now 24 and I have been having problems with periods for years.

When I was doing some research last night I read that there can be a link between Raynaud's and endometriosis.

Has anyone else heard of this?

I had also stumbled across this information a while back and tried and failed to find out more about it. I had surgery to remove extensive endometriosis 10 years ago and have had raynaulds for 6 years. I asked my gp about it and he knew nothing about it. I would be very interested to see if anyone else has investigated this further or knows more than my gp did. I think its a question for a specialist doc.

@mrsh72 - My wife is considering endometriosis surgery. May I ask, did the surgery help you. Did you have to go back and have surgery again? ONe of our biggest concerns is that post surgery, many woman return and have surgery again and again.

It helped so much i felt like a new person. I suffered many miscarriages before surgery but after it had a son. It has returned all these years later but not with as much pain as before the surgery.

When I first say my Rhuemy and she went through my medical history in depth she said I didn't have one problem I had lots but she also said that the only thing that was completely separate was the endometriosis she said that that was just pure unlucky.

Hello!

I was also trying to find out recently if there was a link between the two; I was diagnosed with both conditions last year. I think there is now a school of thought that endo is an auto-immune condition, which may explain the link. I have also read that you are more prone to allergies as well if you have endo...great eh?!

If you are having problems I can only say go and see you doctor and don't take any messing from them!

I've had both and still find it very frustrating that in western Medicine they are seen as separate unlinked conditions whilst they have the common factor of being Auto Immune conditions. In holistic medicine they treat you as a whole entity and therefore can help to explain and include food intolerances, asthma, scleroderma, weak ankles, fatigue and anything else that it can include!

Wrak anckles? I recognise This! I have endo And primary raynauds. Migraine sometimes And seldomly blanco spots And flickerings before my eyes, What is I think, eye migraine. I have a lower blood pressure And a higher heart rate. I have also a lower energy level sometimes all of a sudden. I am bothered by anxiety And Depression. I have always wondered if there is something wrong with me? It is strange And not realy Easy To put a finger On, or That someone believes That you actually don’t have so much Energy, And That not Every Day... I am also sensitive To sounds And lights when I feel like This. The lower blood pressure gives me probably tiredness And dizzyness sometimes. I was Very Good in sprint in school And Very bad in long Running. How would That come?
