Yes I have had the annual infusions - much better than tablets. I had no side effects. I don't know as yet whether or not it has helped my bone density but certainly years on tablets didn't!

Good luck!

7 years on tablets and I still need medicating for osteoporosis so this year I opted for the infusion. Except for the pain of the cost I have had no side effects and will do it again for as long as it is advised.

Hi

My mum has had the infusions and her bone density improved after her last annual one they said to come back in 2 years. Hope it works for you

I have been diagnosed with moderate osteopenia, I was never given anything for it. It was discussed but that is all.

Hi Lyn. I do not suffer with osteoporosis and do not know the medications given to treat it. However, I have awful osteoarthritis of all major and minor joints plus degeneration of the lower spine. I have to take strong pain relieving tablets and prescribed omeprazole to protect the stomach.

I am not familiar with the infusion of which you speak but I am sending you my best wishes for a speedy improvement of your health following the procedure.

Have only had two infusions of Prolia, 6 months apart. Was wondering if that had anything to do with the first appearance of the "thickened skin" on my knuckles...could it be scleroderma?
