Does any diet help you?

I wrote on here before and someone mentioned diet had helped. I have recently been trying to look into this more and wanted to see if any diet had helped anyone as there’s so much advice out there some of it is quite conflicting. I’m unable to get any control over the disease at the moment and wonder if the AIP diet is worth a try?

Does anyone have experience of good outcomes with this?

Thank you :-)

Yes. My 15 year old son is on the AIP diet for Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. It’s really helped him. Would definitely recommend trying it. He has come off all medication since changing his diet.

Disclaimer:I don't know much about you or your specific disease as I'm not a doctor, so take my words with a grain of salt.

Sorry if I'm not talking about the right thing but need to share my experience with you on the path to greatness that dreams can come true if you chase them and put in consistent effort with it.

Diagnosed with early stage rheumatoid arthritis.

I was suffering from extreme pain/inflammation in my feet specifically my heel to the point of being in so much pain 24/7 couldn't sleep, walk or work without the use of painkillers, let dream of running and wanting to cut it off (thankfully I never did) to now jogging on a treadmill which is something so simple yet so amazing and I'm so grateful to be able to do. I have found that a combination of a few things has helped me with easing the autoimmune disease FOR ME was:

1. Going gluten free, sugar free, processed free, cutting caffeine(1-3 a week max) and alcohol intake (zero tolerance) for 4-6 months has helped me drastically

2. Physiotherapy sessions (including electro pulse therapy) and ultrasound treatments

3. Functional training (20% weights 80% body weight or calisthenics movements ie Pullups chin ups dips pushups, squats, lunges, burpees, muscle ups etc. ) + cardio but of course started small baby steps and quitting smoking since February 27th

4. Surrounding myself with good vibes, people and environments - mindset

5. Through the power and blessings of our one true God, our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Prayer and faith has given me hope (this is the biggest one tbh)

That's all I can think of for now... Oh and another thing I have started drinking CELERY JUICE every day 30 mins or longer before my first meal of the day and this has improved my energy levels dramatically too and is a NATURAL MEDICINE.

Throughout the day where I used to fall flat around 3-4pm I'm still buzzing through the day albeit I've been up since 5am and it's a Monday 4:20pm Sydney, Australia time and I've had 2 coffees today so not a good experimental study but I am 100% that it works well every other day. So yeah if you want to try 1 or 2 of those things

Any more questions I'd be happy to answer and share my experience, thoughts and ideas with you

Thanks

Adam

I went on a paleo-vegan diet from last September and the spices and herbs used (especially turmeric, ginger, garlic) and cutting out all dairy has improved inflammation and, amazingly, this is reflected in the results from my blood tests

I did blood allergy testing and went on an elimination diet. I reacted to almost everything, so it's much more strict than a paleo diet, but it's temporary. I'll find out what I'm truly allergic to from what I was just reacting to. It's only been 2 weeks and I started thyroid medicine at the same time, but I definitely notice a difference. It has helped so far with everything: less joint pain, no migraines, no tummy issues, less skin nerve pain and so much more energy.

Removing tea and coffee has helped. If I have any I immediately get sore fingers.
