salt and scleroderma

Is there any connection between salt and scleroderma? I have noticed that when I eat food that has salt in it ( cheese, sausages) the itchiness will drive me crazy. Is there any one that has noticed the same?

Hi there. It is possible you have developed an allergy to these food items. I don't have a problem with foods but I have developed an allergy to many skin products which I used for many years. I can no longer use scented soaps, perfumes etc.

Everyone has both similar and different symptoms and in my experience, it is one thing today, another tomorrow and the list of symptoms become longer and longer.

Keep a diary of events and let your GP know about this so you can receive the help you need. You may need to stop eating these foods and try some non-drowsy antihistamine for the itching.

Good luck!

Do you think you have developed an allergy to salt? I have a friend who has this allergy but she is not a fellow sufferer. See how you go with the diary and keep your doctor informed. Good luck!
