Aching joints
Yes, well it is for me.
I live in Spain so its warm enough but I am a bit stressed at the mo, every day I get really bad joint pain and I cant sleep. What do you find works for you?
Do you have any other conditions? I have ANA positive and also a positive capillary test but at the mo no autoimmune disease.
Hi I have Ehlers-Danlos Hypermobility type with secondary Raynauds. The EDSH affects my joints & can travel (one day it'll be my ankles that ache, the next it'll be my shoulders) but can be linked to my mood (if I am happy I notice less pain/discomfort than if I am stressed/anxious/upset). My Raynauds can also flare more noticeably when I am stressed.
It'll depend upon what is causing your joint pain as for the treatment, I take ibuprofen to reduce swelling in mine alternated with paracetamol to ease the pain & discomfort.
I had really bad pain in my feet and hands and then I started taking Curcumin and with my illness it took about 3 weeks and one morning I walked to the bathroom and it took a while before I realized it did not hurt to walk. My doctor recommended it and I tell everyone about it. I was unable to get my wedding ring on and now I can take it on and off( only off when I work on electricity )
Thanks, never heard of that before. How much do you take and how often? Where can you get it from?
started at 500 mg twice a day and went up to 1000 mg twice a day and I am doing great at this dose. my wife tried it and she had some stomach issues with the 1000 mg pills. the dog food we purchase also contains it. I suggest looking up the studies that have been performed and see if any were done on the illness you have. I drive 5 hrs to see my doctor and he is always willing to try the least harmful herbs and drugs
Sadly, it's more than normal...not just the heat that effects us folks! I am also ANA positive-only recently diagnosed with the latter after severe pain and almost 'clamp' like hands from joints locking.
Hi sandraj.
It is not unusual to get both joint and muscle pains and of course stress and the cold doesn't help. I am having a "Flare" at the moment and suffering both joint and muscle pains.
Just keep comfy and try not to worry too much. Pop along to your doctor. You may need a little extra medication until things settle down.
Best wishes for more pleasant days.
Thank you for your good wishes and the same to you. I too have several other medical conditions and copious amount of medications. I too just pop the pills and tell myself I'm lucky to be so well looked after by the docs. Just take the very best care of yourself at all times.
The weather is going to be hot this weekend so don't expose yourself to the direct sunlight but enjoy the warmth and keep lots of drinking water to hand.
Have a great weekend.
As the youth would say "Wicked". Happy birthday to your son this weekend. Enjoy every moment.
