It certainly does give us all a boost when the sun shines but oh dear now the air conditioning has kicked in at work and I am sat there with my gloves on and getting thoroughly fed up with the comments from people that "surely you can't be cold" :-(

Have you worked there very long? Do you have anyone at work, who understands what you are going thru?

Hi Swiglee. I have been in this office for 18 months and have told them that air conditioning is not good for my condition and have report from works doctor saying the same. I have been told there is no where else in the open plan office that I can sit that will be any better. I wear my layers and gloves but because Iook normal i am sure people think I am attention seeking.

That must be a nightmare, I can't think of anything to suggest. Actually, I took redundancy less than a month before this kicked in. I had no idea at the time. I used to complain about the air conditioning all the time.

When you see the consultant, do you come up to Bristol? I remember that a man from Falmouth used to?

I know it's a bit of a pain, but I have advised them of the consequences that prolonged working in these conditions can have (i.e., I will be in so much pain that I will have to go sick), but again they either are not bothered or think I am exaggerating!!

I go to The Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital and have just had a consultation with a new Rheumatologist who showed a fair bit of knowledge about the whole condition, and has reviewed my medication, and was very sympathetic and understanding. I came out feeling as though someone was actually interested in me and not just going through the motions.

I haven't seen anyone in over a year. But as they are so patronising, I'm not really missing them. It's a case of - what cranky ideas is she going to come out with next?

The fact is, the cranky ideas work......yaaaaay!

Sorry to hear you aren't with us queen. The sun will be there for you when you come out. Gorgeous here again today! I've just got back from a scrummy lunch. And a visit to my lovely GP. Only for my thyroid tests, and he reduced my meds for the first time ever.

He now knows all about the benefits of chia seeds. He googled them while I was there. It's so good to be in a practice that is interested in a holistic approach. Which is more than can be said for some!

Tomorrow is my hot stone pedicure day. My life is so hard.......lol!

Wishing everyone well. Love Vanessa : )

Have a look at this website as it gives more detail than anything else I've found. My main reason for eating them, was for the protein content. I'm not a big meat eater, yet I need to rebuild my muscles. However, my skin has improved significantly and I have far more energy. Plus the fact that I am sleeping better. There's no way that I can prove it. But I have just had a thyroid blood test and for the first time ever, my GP has reduced my dosage. I will be checked again in 3 months.

I'm quite a fruit, nuts and seeds person. So as these don't actually taste of anything, I can't actually see any reason to stop eating them in the future.

Hope this helps! Some sites say how expensive they are. But as you only need a tablespoon a day. The equivalent meat would be far dearer. Soz, it's getting late and clearly my grammar is already in bed! Lol! 'nite!
