What I should say is that the hospital were great and I was so relieved that my abnormal sleep had been professionally noticed. It is my GP , am now on second, who is not getting it. I feel disarmed and helpless. I feel like this IS going to be the rest of my life .

Hi MooMoo. I have depression. While that is a lifelong illness that needs to be managed it doesn’t mean that I’ll feel it’s symptoms for the rest of my life. Though it can certainly feel that way, as you are experiencing right now. And right now it is crucial that you find a doc who listens to you and who really gets it. That will make a huge difference. Those docs are out there! In my area we have a free referral service where you indicate what kind of attributes you are looking for, and you get a list of matches and their contact information. I wonder if such a service exists in your area........
