SERIOUS SLEEPWALKER!!

I'm very desperate for some help here. I am a very serious sleep walker. It has become very dangerous for me. When I sleepwalk it's usually when I first go to sleep. I may only do it for an hour or so, then some nights I may walk all night. I have fallen in my sleep so much and broken alot of bones. I've really messed up my body. I also hit my head when I fall. This really scares me and I'll explain why. I apologize for the lengthy post but is necessary. I have been to 3 different places for sleep studies. They have NO answers. So I am back to square 1. I have already set my mind that this is going to kill me. That may sound negative to you but I know what it has done to me physically. The last time was night before last and it really rattled my cage. The meds I take are not it, I don't take much meds and we have done deep research to check any meds that could cause this. I do have issues with low iron, low vit D, but those are being dealt with and have improved. But the sleepwalking still continues. My poor husba d, he's at his wits end. This has been very stressful for him also. We have tried different kinds of alarms to wake me up, and they will work on occasion. The only thing that has helped and this was just a fluke, we never knew. I have a Chorkie, he is with me 24/7. He is very attached to me. We've had him since 8 weeks old. He does have anxiety separation when he's away from me. But about 6 months ago, when I would sleepwalk , he would push on the front of my legs and bark at me until I wake up. He has done this every time I sleepwalk. But he sleeps with my husband at night, because he likes to keep me up playing all night. But on the occasions he is with me and it happens he's my only hope. There has to be something else out there for help. Anybody know of anything that might work??? PLEASE HELP!!!

I recently saw a Youtube video about kids with very severe and very rare sleep disturbances being referred to Evelina Children’s Hospital in London. Although this is for kids and not adults, maybe they can refer you to a place that might be able to help you?

Thankyou for the information. I will try to contact them and see if they have any references for adult issues and places they recommend. Children sleep walking, they usually out grow it. I know my sister did it when she was probably under the age of 10. But by middle school had outgrown it. I have no idea if it's hereditary in my family. I've tried contacting family members, but so many of them have passed away. So I hope this information will help. Thankyou again, Ninny

You’re welcome!😀

I really hope they can help steer you in the right direction!

Your choice of course, but will you let me know how things go for you?

I attend Royal Papworth Hospital Sleep centre and have found them very thorough and helpful. They have successfully treated and improved my OSA and tracheobronchomalacia. If you are in the UK I would recommend them to you. I wish you the very best and hope your problems ease soon.
