Found clear cell in ovary while pregnant in daughter. 42 years old. long story short she lost baby and had to have radical hysterectomy. Now in chemo. Anyone else had this? We were blind sighted. Seems to be a rare type.
Also still has fluid behind cervicak cuff which is a concern. Back to oncologist/gym tomorrow

Hi Simplicity1 , I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter. I haven't experienced this myself, but I can only imagine how difficult this situation must be. Please keep us updated on the results from the oncologist; I'm hoping the best for both of you and the rest of your family.
I have clear cell ovarian IIIC, mets to liver/IV. Read up on clear cell, it acts opposite of most and is typically aggressive. I have used cannabis oil and liposomal vitamin c with great success, surprising all my docs.
How did they discover yours? Ours was through a vaginal ultrasound when pregnant. No symptoms at all. Hated to lose the baby but the tumor was massive on the ovary. Dread to think what the outcome would have been if not discovered
I had many symptoms and actually told the dr I thought I had ovarian cancer. She quickly dismissed it. Two years later there were epithelial cells on my pap. This triggered an external ultrasound and off to the race from there. Actual clear cell was with the debulking. There were 3 different cancers diagnosed, CCC Ovariy was the most advanced.
I go to Cancer Treatment Centers of America and highly recommend. Happy to answer Amy questions you might have. Prayers, love and light.
There seems to be so little information on clear cell ovarian. Hers was stage one see but of course was a grade 3 which is very aggressive. She did have a radical hysterectomy and is undergoing four rounds of chemo. Her lymph nodes were clear so does that mean that it is gone forever? Cannot seem to find anything much re clear cell or get definite answers from doctors
Not stop, typically will scan and continue. CTCA provides results quickly so there is no delay in treatment. Love that I don't have to worry and wonder about test results!
Hi, my name is Liz, I was diagnosed with stage 3c clear cell ovarian cancer in 2014. Had everything removed including 15 lymph nodes and two had cancer cells. Complete debulking. I had 14 chemotherapy treatments in 18 weeks. I did stomach wash chemo with my regular chemo. I am currently cancer free. Stomach. Wash chemotherapy isn't offered at all treatment facilities. But it's supposed to add approximately 18 months to 3 yrs onto your life. My doc says closer to three years. Very sorry about the baby. Fortunately she's stage 1. That is huge. Best wishes and prayers.
If stomach wash chemo is available she might ask. My cancer was attached to my colon, appendix engulfed and in lymph nodes. My Dr is very aggressive in her approach. I asked her what she would do if she was in my shoes. That was it I did exactly that. I'm cancer free for 3 yrs plus. From what I understand you need to get passed the 5 year mark, then chances of surviving goes way up. Remember I'm stage 3c. One thing I learned through this is attitude is everything. I never thought I was going to die. Keep positive, also through chemo if your daughter wakes up and feels just a little off. Take a nausea meds. . I also found that claritan not the D, plain claritan helps after immune booster shot. Take day off and for the next 4 days helps with joint pain. I underwent more sessions . And things are different for everyone. I'm sure your daughter will have a complete recovery. My mom was extremely worried about me too. I'm very happy she has you. Stay strong. Prayers for you and her.
We feel very fortunate with Stage 1 Hope I will feel less fearful after some time. Thank you for answering! So thankful you are 3 years out. So encouraging!
