Ask your Drs about doing intraperitinel chemotherapy.

Hi, I’m starting intraperitinel chemo on Wednesday. Haven’t found anyone who has undergone this treatment. My doc says it is brutal 😐

Hi, I didn't have any trouble with IP chemo. I had 18 rounds in 14 weeks, I had IV chemo with premeds then premeds for IP chemo and then IP starts. They try to give you a bunch of fluids before and after the chemo into you abdomen. The first time my stomach stretched out ok takes about 3 days to get absorbed. As my treatment continued I didn't let them put so much fluid in afterwards. And they would stop it. It's the fluids that make it uncomfortable. It doesn't hurt at all. If you get anxious have them give you meds to take. My Dr told me it gives you more than 3 yrs before a reoccurrence, I've been cancer free with no reoccurrence ,it's been 10 yrs. I had all my surgeries first. And one round IV chemo, and about 7 weeks after my last surgery I started the IP chemo. Best wishes, Liz 💜

wow. Now that’s a hard-won battle. Thanks for taking the time to share!

Yesterday I had my first 24 hours of Plactitaxel (before it was three rounds of the platinum one and optimal debulking) and then IP of Cisplatin.

They’ve scared the beejeezus out of me with talk of days of vomiting so been trying to prepare.

You give me hope. Thank you again. Take care and onwards and upwards 💪🏻
