Saw oncologist today... next steps pet scan, genetic testing, and more surgery. The results from all that will determine if I have to have any chemo and if so what kind and how much. Dr I say was great and I feel more at easy about everything going forward. I feel like the Dr has my back and is going to do everything he can for me! Makes things a lot easier!

Hi there, sorry to read that you have been diagnosed with this horrible, horrible disease, but very glad to read that things are moving forward for you - looks like your doctors are being very thorough, which is great. Wishing you the very best of luck with the testing and surgery - please do keep us updated. Take care, love from Mel 💖 xx p.s. I had genetic testing also - it didn’t throw any of the major mutations that they test for.

Thank you Melody Even though I have more waiting I do feel much better thanks to the oncologist that I was referred to. I feel it makes a huge difference if you have a dr that you feel has your back!

Best of luck to you

Having an oncologist you have trust in is so important. Be vigilant, ask questions, never be afraid to inquire or ask more about anything you don't completely understand.

My prayers are with you. I had genetic testing, then discovered neither Medicare nor my insurance covered the $6000.00 cost. That was a shock!

I’m sorry to hear that

I meet several guidelines so they feel that there is no reason why it wouldn’t be covered. But If it should for some crazy not be covered they said they’ll let me know before they run it.
