I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! I was diagnosed a year ago June with OC, stage 4 that spread to a few lymph nodes, stomach lining, liver and colon. Surgery and chemo has definitely helped but I am platinum resistant (which is disappointing). In any event, over the past several weeks, when I started my 3rd line of treatment with taxol and avastin, I’ve noticed my lower back really bothering me. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Could be side effects. Could be cancer spreading. Or, could also be reduction in activity due to Covid. It’s always something, isn’t it!?!?
xoxo,
Carol

Hi. It’s hard to know the source of the pain but since my frontline treatment I have had waves of back spasms unlike anything I’ve ever had before. They don’t last like a regular back ache. You should tell your oncologist though.
It's frustrating when we have a lot of aches and pains that we don't know what is causing them. I know for me, if I know what is causing them I worry a lot less and they are easier to tolerate. When I was undergoing my first line treatment years ago I had a lot of abdominal pain that lasted for almost 2 years. I'd bring it up with my doctor, but never got answers. Gradually it went away. Try keeping a journal and see if you can spot any pattern to when it occurs.
